I pop in from time to time to read your condo's and catch up. Even if I don't leave a message. I want to wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year and a very Merry Christmas!
It has almost been a year since I had to say good-bye to my extra sweet boy. He is still missed.
Civvie Missy is back in for a dental today but it also looks like she is becoming hyperthyroid. Doing the F4 or Free 4 draw (?) today to confirm. She is fairly healthy otherwise. It is early in the game if she is (no weight loss etc) so we have options.
Civvie Rain is turning 16 in a few weeks and is holding in quite well with her CKD. Took x-rays as I thought she was arthritic....nope! X-rays shows good bones, good heart, good lungs....good everything but kidneys. She is now on subq's twice a month and is now firmly in early stage 3 CKD.
Civvie Libby - has now had 2 pancreatitis flares. I feel for this poor girl. She is 12 and it is so hard to watch her be in so much discomfort. She is on cerenia, metro and bupre right now, but this is day 4 of the second bout. Last one was about 4 months ago. She is eating a little (which is odd for her). I hope she comes out of quickly. She is not showing any other signs of issues (IBD, FD etc) so anti-jinx on those things.
The biggest change has been the addition on a new puppy for DH. Someone to help him with his depression. This has been a good and not so good change. Libby and Missy live in the basement now as the puppy terrifies them. Doesn't help that Libby doesn't feel good right now, which feeds my guilt on making things worse. Vicky has helped with DH with his depression though. Which makes my heart sing. I feel this is just a matter of time for things to settle. We picked her up Nov 22nd so hardly a month.
