Morning LL! Moonie is sleeping today on our bed, nice & comfy..She has been eating all morning from 3 of her 4 plates she likes now~~Smorgasboard!!! ;-) We are just glad she is eating, and last night we got Magical Poo!! She goes every 2-3 days now, which makes us happy(with the help of miralax)...Need Detective Poo to help us..
She has been re- learning to jump up on the couch & bed, as we do have steps for her--
Moonie has had neuropathy since she was dx'd FD almost 5 yrs ago, and walks on her hocks..She has always been amazing for a cat with this (yes she got methyl B12 and adequan until the hurricane)
In her current condition, I think I remember reading that adequan could make a cat with problems, have a bleed, but not sure--we are leaving well enough alone..She hasnt been playing much since most of her toys drowned, but isnt interested..She doesnt groom herself much either so I brush her once or twice a day..
She just loves all the attention and we love giving it to her. She gats tons of love & attention, good fuds & chicken or chopped turkey every day.
She is very bony for a while now, hoping to get some meat on her again..Thanks my Dear LL friends for the support & Love during this hard time for us..We love everyone of you so much.
Prayers for Moonie's good health would be appreciated now...
Special Thanks to Barbara(and Tuffy) and Ella (and Rusty) for all the calls & caring they gave us..Desi and Venita too..
You helped me get through all the terrible times we had here..Eternal Love & Hugs to all!

Thanks for the update, Roni. I'm glad Moonie is doing ok. Hugs and love to you all. I hope there is progress on the house.

ETA: Detective Poo had the morning off but back on duty now and will be checking in on Moonie regularly. :-D

(((Roni and Moonie))) so good hearing from you and so cute with the Smorgasboard! I am so glad Moonie is eating and having the Magical Poo every 2-3 days. Now she is equal with Maggie. We will have to alert Detective Poo that Moonie needs help in that department. It is great to hear that in two months you all will be back home, and Moonie is planning on throwing a big party. :-D Mags can't wait to see her good friend again. Lots of healing vines and prayers for Moonie to continue doing well and hope she puts on some weight, too. Take good care Roni, and lots of healing vines, love, and prayers to all of you..

I'm so very glad to hear that Moonie is feeling better. I know that makes the two of you feel better also. Please give her a little hug from me. Moonie is in my prayers always.

ARRRGH!!! Again I reign as fur shot queen!! Moonie is pretty skinny now & it is easy to do a through & Through..Looks like I did one today, but got it in tonite...Good to know I've still got it!! ohmygod_smile

Darn those fur shots! Moonie will get back on track soon enough. It is so nice to read a Moonie condo and good to hear that appy is coming back. :YMHUG: I love how you comb her a couple of times a day. I wish my long haired beasties would let me do that.

(((Roni))) I'm sorry I missed your condo the other day but wanted to pop in today. I'm glad Moonie had a magical poo.

I can't remember if I gave you the info on the Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil. I know you have your hands full but my vet had me give Gus coconut oil to help his weight loss. It is also FD friendly and I give it to all the cats but the young ones only get a bit so they don't gain weight. It has really made their coats amazing ....even Gus with his CKD...and Gussie has actually gained some weight. He gets between 2-2.5 mls bid but you have to start low and work up slowly. I started them on .25 mls bid and increased by .25 mls bid every few days. It also helps with hairballs.

Nice to see a Moonie condo, sorry I'm late I wasn't able to get on the board much this weekend. Another great source of extra calories is butter. Tess goes nuts for it, but probably not as healthy as the coconut oil. :? But cats metabolize fats differently than humans.

I hope things continue to settle down. Let us know if you need ANYTHING!!

Sorry that her toys all drowned. :sad:
