Ravan was diagnosed with Kidney disease just a few months ago I swear it's from being in high BG so many times! I try to keep him in the low #'s but my boy is a bouncer, scares the H .....out of me :(

That's why i always try to encourage the New people to be Brave & get the BG down as soon as possible!

My day was more productive once Bailey was up in higher numbers, thanks for asking :)
Bailey's in yellow today so i might have to revisit her dose, but I'm going to give it until tomorrow to see what she does.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ravan's kidney disease. I totallyunderstand why you are trying so hard to keep his BG down after going through that, and I would be doing the same. I don't see anything about it in his signature. I think you should really put that information into your signature because he is different from kitties who only have diabetes. It's important for people giving advice to know that about his history because Ravan going into pinks is different than Bailey going into pinks.

I still have a lot to do the next few days, but I will try to check on you throughout the day to see how Ravan is doing. Hugs and prayers that he stabilizes and stops bouncing.

That made me think of something. How are you dosing? Are you aware that the syringes are not consistent in the printing of the lines. Bailey used to bounce a lot more before I became aware of that. I haven't been able to use the calipers, but I did separate the syringes so that I'm only using syringes where the zero line is at the same location.

Do you know how to add to the Signature?

Ravan is stuck in high #'s too long! He started leaking urine again. :arghh: Just sleeping, doesn't want to eat. After all the "drama" of the Low bg this is such a huge disappointment! :(

I was so hoping he would stop bouncing into hich #'s by now. I wish there was something to do when they go high! It's so stressful waiting for it to come down. He's leaking urine & I'm leaking tears!

I get seriously depressed with all this Low one day & too high the next!

I am so so sorry he is having these problems. I wish I knew more about dosing so I could advise you, but I just don't know what to recommend.

Did you see my comment about the syringes? Are you able to dose with calipers? I'm wondering if the bouncing is related to slight variations to insulin amounts if you are relying solely on the markings on the syringe.

You modify the signature by clicking on your name in the upper right corner. The option to change your signature is right on that menu. I think it will help because future advice will take his kidney disease into account.

I will be praying for you and Ravan. You will both get through this, and you will both be fine. We just need to take it one day at a time and try to figure out what's going on with him.
