Hi Everyone,
Yet another late condo. I can't believe I'm so far behind this year. Rusty had a good night and ate all of his nighttime fuds (he rediscovered the Newman's Own Organic 95% Turkey dinner, but I only have 1 can left and the supermarket where I buy it is out of the 95% Turkey). Anyway, he's gobbling it up (pun intended). Today Rusty "helped" bake cookies: my mother's friend's recipe for "Cinnanuts" and Edward's mother's recipe for "Linzeraugen" (thumbprint cookies with raspberry or apricot jam). Took all morning and then some of this evening. Inbetween we walked to the post office, did some shopping for cookie ingredients, and brought in the Xmas tree from the garage. It's a balsam fir and smells great. The tree was "frozen" (it was -7 degrees F. here this morning), but has warmed up nicely. Tomorrow we'll put the lights on it and begin trimming it. If we were going to be home for Xmas we would wait until Xmas Eve to put the tree up (family tradition), but we'll do that at my nephew's house in Central NY State on Xmas Eve (small family gathering; the big one was at Thanksgiving at my niece's in CT).

Sorry to be missing so many condos this week. But we're thinking of you all and continuing to send vines to all kitties and beans in need. Got to go downstairs to sit with Rusty, hold his dinner bowl, and watch TV. Back later.

Lookin' good, Rusty! I love thumbprints, too, but they are a lot of work! I've been a cookie factory the last few days, too...resisting the temptation to add more because our family gatherings really aren't all that big and DH and I don't need that many cookies hanging around the house!

I haven't made cookies in ages - candy making takes up most of December for me. Finally got it all done, though. Now I have to wrap presents and do cards (didn't do them last year because my hands were too full of sick kitties). No tree for us when we won't be home for Christmas - we've been elsewhere for the past three years and will again this year. I miss the smell, but less work for me! ;)

Nice to see Rusty can supervise the cookie making and the lagoon at the same time. What a multi-tasker! :D
