I wish Neko would let me know when she's having one of her flat cycles so I could skip that +9 at night test. :lol: :lol: I'm not really comfortable calling it a night at a 138 when she's not onset yet. But no, she decided to move all of 8 points for the next test. :roll: We just had a good acupressure session and cuddle, and she's back on her memory foam bed. Nanner Central by the Christmas tree even got a morning visit. :o She usually waits to the afternoon for that.

Neko got her first benazapril this morning, so I'll get to see if the "flavor tabs" chewables affect her BG. I finally found a list of other ingredient in the tabs - on a UK government registration filing website. Why make it easy? :evil: Nothing on that list set off alarm bells. From looking at Neko's numbers last night, apparently she's fine with a crumb of gluten free tart dough (primarily rice flours though a bit of sugar). :lol:

My turn in the kitchen today. I'm making Rochers (creme de cacao toasted almonds clusters with tempered chocolate). Tonight is the first of three Christmas parties in a row.

I got my FDMB calendar yesterday, just in time to give one to vetty. It's great seeing new pictures of all the kitties here.

Ugh - not fond of that +6. Could be the cat but I'll watch for a couple days before calling for a new med. Vet's not back in until Monday. My compounding pharmacy totally surprised me today. I went it to drop of the prescription for bupenorphine, and they told me they could have it ready end of day! :o :o Last time I went in around a holiday, it was 5 day turnaround. On an amusing note, they first asked me for ID. I was ready to pull out Neko's picture on my phone, then they realized it was for the cat. :lol: :lol:

@Rhiannon, Carla, Liz - No reason for her to jump up today, other than she sometimes does just for the fun of it. :roll: Liz - meter variance. :lol: :lol: :lol: And lack of sleep. Yes, it's 9 points.

Well, that was a day. 8 points or 9. Big deal! I hope the new meds will not affect Neko's bgs. Have fun at your parties, Wendy. The Rochers sound delicious.

Looks like Miss Neko is coming down nicely from that +6. you don't suppose that was from the new med? Hope your candymaking went well and that you are having a great time at the party! :-D

Love your comment about the +9 test last night :lol: sometimes there is just "enough" inconsistency that you just don't take for granted she'll be higher at +9. I'm glad she came back down after the midday test.

Did you see the Soul Sista's pictures are next to each other in the calendar?

Yum on the candy. Hope you got it all done!

I gave benazapril pills to Tiffany when she was first diagnosed with kidney disease. They were not flavored so I wonder if you can get them in the states maybe they have them in Canada? If not I know folks that have used enalapril successfully.
