12/19 Kai: AMPS 325, +4 187, +6 225, PMPS 404, +3 133, +4.5 104, +5 182

Touchdown in the blue!

My sister will grab that +6 again today. Then tomorrow, hopefully I will work from home and I can get some earlier tests. I need to see what the +3 is doing. I really hope this blue number dosent cause him to bounce again

I asked my boss if I could work from home tomorrow and I told him "If you don't let me work from home tomorrow, I might accidentally kill my cat, then I will be really sad and Christmas will be ruined and it will all be your fault. Ill never forgive you."

Question:
Kai's shot time is at 6:30. I need to move his Shot time to 5:30 so that I can make my family's dinners on 12/24 and 12/25 at 6:00pm. It is about a 30-45 minute drive to get to the dinner locations. So I will need to leave right after I give Kai his shot at the new time of 5:30.

I know that giving a shot an hour early can act like an increase in insulin. And I know to adjust the shot time you would give a shot 30 minutes earlier each day until you reach the desired time. But I assume that is standard practice for regulated cats. And we are in the middle of adjusting to an increase because Kai is not regulated and probably has glucose toxicity. If I try to adjust his shot time right now so that he can be adjusting would that make things more complicated? For example, if his levels dipped lower than normal I wouldn't know if it was from the insulin or from the earlier shot time, right?
I need someone's thoughts on this to help me plan things out.

I was able to catch a +4.5. He had dropped to 104 now.
I feed him a little bit of his low carb to see if he will start to rise back up. Will check him again in 30 minutes.
