12/19 Gus AMPS 121, +3 211 PMPS 103, +1 130

WOW! Gus had a lovely evening in the lagoon too didn't he? I was just looking at Walter's big night in the lagoon...must have been a big surfing party while the Full Moon party was going on?? Those kitties...they love to play!

Hope he doesn't bounce much today! Be good for your mama Gus! No big bounces! :)

I have a very imaginative mind and I can’t help but picture these cats hanging out at the lagoon partying all night, catching waves and getting high on catnip.. lol

He’s starting to go up but I hope he doesn’t hit those high pinks he was hitting the last few days.

130 @ +1

Yup.. wonder if he dipped while I was out running errands after seeing that 211. My roommate texted me saying Gus was really asking for food around 2:30 ish… bet he dipped around then.

So now… I think he’s moving up but I’ll grab a test around +5 cuz it’s Gus… and who knows what he’s up to.

I love seeing him have full days of good numbers… but the bounces suck

I have a question… would it ever make sense to start feeding MC food as soon as he gets low, say around 100… to catch the drop earlier. I know we want low numbers and that would contradict what we are trying to do.. but I wonder if we did this for a few low cycles so that the liver doesn’t freak out when he hits 50-60 so much and slowly start to feed MC at lower numbers. My thought is to train the liver how to live with low number again and not freak out so easily.

Wow! That's an unexpected PMPS after that AM+3. I would not have gotten any more tests either. I guess you could get a test between +6 and +9 since he seems to like to head south in the second half of the cycle.

Regarding the feeding of MC, we sometimes do that with cats who tend to dive at onset. But for now, LC meals every hour or two in active cycles is fine for Gus. His liver has gotten used to yellows so even blues will freak him out. The idea of feeding the curve is to prevent dives, not prevent them from slowly sliding into greens. I don't know if that makes sense.

Got any more tests after the +1?

Ok, for the MC question.. we will stay on course - it was just a thought I had while shopping, lol.

He sure surprised me with that number at PMPS. I haven’t got any more tests since +1.. think I should grab one now @ +4.5?
