I remember my alarm going off last night for the +7.... but I just turned it off and went back to sleep LOL. I am.happy I did because he apparently went up last night.

Just another bounce.

This morning we go back to the vet to redo his blood draw... I am not looking forward to it. :arghh::blackeye::confused:

Back from vet! They sedated him this time... which freaked me out a little because he has never really been sedated like that before. So the blood draw went very well and they clipped his claws. (He lets me do the claws fine at home, but she offered, so why not?) Then after, they gave him something to unsedate him.... so no food for about an hour. I can give a snack before I leave for work.

Good report. :)

Woah!!!!! I guess the stress and sedation brought him down...

I actually gave him a little dry because he had a bad morning and he deserved a "treat". Ill do another test before I leave and will probably leave some higher carb food for his snacks.

He is now at 117! I was gonna leave early to get some Dunkin Donuts.... but now I think I will just be late... crap.

Gave him some HC. He must be feeling a little nauseous because he didn't eat it all....

Crap.

Slow the drama there, Gordy! Maybe he decided to get to work and be a good diabetic cat in hopes you'll never take him back to the vet again! ;) Hope he evens out for you really soon.

He is licking more gravy. I added maple syrup. Never given him that.... but he seems pretty enthused.

(Actually, he got up to eat the food now! Maybe that jumpstarted him!)

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Woah, what a morning you two have had!

I am sorry you had to take him back to the vet.

Sending vines that your day goes quickly so you can bring him home soon!

If you can monitor and he is eating, I would shoot. I think whatever they gave him to sedate him affected his appy today and helped cause the low numbers. I'm glad he is home and safe. :bighug:

He isn't ready for dinner.... but the vet said he was eating. I actually don't know how food influenced this number is...

That being said, he is most likely going to continue up, so I think I'll shoot to mitigate the bounce.

I had to bathe him when we got back... I don't know when, but he pooped in his carrier and it had mucus in it... so it got all over him. It was foul. Ughhh. I dont know if I'll ever NOT smell it. :arghh::arghh::arghh: and poor g didn't understand why he was being tortured MORE. :banghead:

So the vet pretty much figures this episode was stress induced mix with a little sedation drama. I told him that from now on I won't give insulin the day of appointments and he said it may be a better idea. I think it was really more of the sedative.

He started to trend upwards after I dropped him and ate well. I asked if he "behaved" and he laughed and said "no" LOL
