Chester's NEVER been this low (on the AlphaTrak meter so take off about 30 points or so) at amps. And this is on just a trace of insulin 2x for the last several days. I was expecting the shed to be draining and even warned DH to expect some higher numbers. We're trying to get Chester in a safe range for me to leave on Friday for four days. 94 at amps ISN'T that place for me. Beautiful number, but not when DH will be alone to deal with it.
I'm stalling for 30 minutes, then retesting, but if he's not SIGNIFICANTLY higher, I'm seriously toying with the idea of no a.m. shot. Never done that before. I've not been comfortable lately shooting before 150 or 160.
How long should I delay breakfast...30 minutes, an hour?
And the BIG question: If I don't give him insulin this morning, is it physically possible for him to hypo today?
