Don't be hard on yourself. Bella is fine. It looks like he just kept surfing last night. How is Andy today? Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Still doing his yowling other than that he’s fine, I leave Xmas music on the tv on all day so he here’s voices and happy music, we are doing our mental exercises 2x a day
Lol and I’m even singing to him, trust me u all don’t want to hear that lol

Looks like it all worked out in the end: you got much needed sleep and Bella surfed safely. I know the feeling though. I've done it many, many times myself.
Glad Andy is ok :) I bet he loves your singing and all the attention he is getting.

Big drop there for Bella. Hope he surfs safely today.

Sounds like you are still working on getting better from that cold! The body will take what it needs when you push it too hard.

Looks like Bella may be on a mission today.

Ravan started that Yowling about a month ago. He's doing it more lately. He can get very loud & if i come downstairs & talk to him he quiets down. What do you think causes it?

Good to see Bella's BG is doing Great!:)

I have been told and read where it could be the start of dementia that's why I'm doing all kinds of memory things with Andy

Well I was again a bad mom ugh:banghead: didn’t hear the next alarm, what is wrong with me??? :(Omg guess I’m gonnna have to set 10 of them maybe I will hear one of them!
That sounds very familiar - I started setting multiple alarms 10 minutes apart when I have to check on the boys in the middle of the night.

...and I have never had a cat with dementia, but I have had dogs. And they do the same thing and become very vocal and confused at night.

I've had 2 previous kitties with dementia. One was 20 and also had vision problems. In the end she started sitting in a corner and cry. Even during the day. Hearing our voices would stop her crying. Since we worked all day and no cell phones then, we had an answering machince. Out going message was my husband and she would run to it when she heard him. So we would take turns and call during the day so she could hear his voice. Used night lights at night.

Our other was 16 and started started to get lost in the house. He would forget what or where he was going. Just needed to redirect him.

Did dementia finally cause their passing?

I had a pup with dementia. It didn't cause her passing per se, but it was the reason we ended up saying good bye to her. She would pace, all day and night until she was physically exhausted. She forgot to eat and drink. Her health became compromised due to that.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but have you had him tested for hyperthyroidism? My vet mentioned the howling as a symptom.

No. They both aged out. Fred, 16 yr old was declining. No one could find out why. All tests kept coming back normal. One night on way to litter box his back legs gave out and he lost control of bladder. His quality of life was zero. Squeaky, 20 yrs just kept getting worse.

I have not, only because he shows no other symptoms, is that possible to only yowling and be hyper t as a symptom?

My civvie is getting close in her blood work..so she is borderline. Her clinical symptoms otherwise....is howling at night and agression sometimes. She doesn't howl all the time though. We are watching closely. That is why I asked.
