AMPS may be elevated due to frothy throw up (stomach acid) about 10 min before he TFS.

And my vacation is starting out swell. We have a water leak somewhere in the pipes (which were replumbed two years ago :banghead:. We still have the plastic covering the holes because I want to do something different with the ceiling and I am not sure yet what (and $$) but when I was preparing his feeder (right after the throw up) a bucket full of water gushed out of one of the plastic sheets - lovely.

Hope everyone has a better day than mine is cracking up to be.

Poor Gizmo. I hope his tummy is better after he eats and he slides down today. Sorry about the water leak. I hope you can get it fixed quickly. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

If he would eat his +7.5 It wouldn't be a problem :banghead:. I had even given him a couple of FD treats cause he was being a vacuum and that is almost always a sign.

Then right after that the water issue and it scares the cr@p out of both of us. First me and my "flight" response kicked in which he responded to the same. He was peeling out on the kitchen floor trying to get away from what ever I was runnng from :joyful:. So it really didn't surprise me he was high.

He is absolutely fine after he eats and it never affects his eating his PS meal.

Well, at least it didn't dump out on your head, and it's a good thing you hadn't put in a new ceiling or it would be ruined! Just trying to see some positives for you on a sucky morning... :bighug:

Or flooring!

Hubby is unconcerned :banghead:. I swear his lack of any concern for house issues will be the death of this marriage. I asked if I should call the plumber and he said no, he would pull down the plastic sheeting tonight and look to see if he can see what is going on (and off to work he went) - I gently reminded him that Christmas was next week and I was about tired of having the house torn up (period) during the holidays. I know what it is - he doesn't want to spend the $$ - but that issue isn't getting repairs/renovations done. I am going to propose that he takes care of the roof and I will handled equal repairs/renos inside once he has the roof replaced. His share of the tax refund should cover most of that cost.

I am going on with my plans. Not much else I can do. I have learned over the past few years that it does me NO good to take on the burden of all of this. It is only until it impacts his life that it then becomes an issue.

Your proposition of using the tax refund is very reasonable and smart. The longer you let that kind of stuff go, the worse it gets. But you're right, he's got to be invested in the problems too, of his own accord. Sorry you're having to deal with this... :(

:oops:I'm sorry, but still, I am chuckling. It was the cascade of water that did me in. At least today was a relatively warm one for Texas.

I applaud you; I would not have been particularly gentle in my reminding. I used to fantasize about the joys of home owning. Now , when the hot water heater leaked gallons of water all over the floor, and leaked a hole into the ground below my home - creating a lovely entryway for snakes mice scorpions ants and god knows what else, I remember fondly calling my landlord and, after a short to long wait, all was right with the rental again

It was about 3 gallons. Now realize that this is at 4am. Dead quiet. I had been awake for about 10 min. Tired. Softly talking to Gizmo telling him he would be ok and food was on its way. Only light on is the kitchen light - den is dark and bam. If there had been a camera on the kitchen I swear we would win Funniest Home Videos.

Trying a cycle of Tiki (-0- carb) to see if I can get his numbers down. I am hoping if I can get them down and shoot low he may be able to hold it and not bound (as high?). Anyway - just an experiment.

OMG! 4am. My day has not been great, but, frankly, you beat me hollow!

Too danged bad about the missing video.

Good luck with this. Good idea at any rate.

Highest +2 since March. :arghh:

Aw gee. Gawd, do I ever know how you feel! TiTi's BGs were a nightmare of pinks and reds for a while. I still have no idea why. But at the time, I figured she was just plain dying on me. Well, she wasn't, and I'll never know what the @#@^$#^%% happened.

This diabetes disease takes it outta the kitty and their human (bean). Don't think I could make it without FDMB.
Hugs to you and Gizmo. As to hubby? Men are like that, ya' know?!
