AMPS 74

The storm here in New England is crazy - 60mph wind gusts with 35mph sustained winds. We haven't had power since 3am, so poking and shooting by flashlight this morning is a new achievement of mine. :p

Yesterday
Yikes, Alli. Sorry you have no power. That’s a big stress. It’s good Smudge is so stable (for so many reasons)!
Great job poking in the dark. Hope the power comes back quick! :bighug::bighug:

It came back for about 30 mins and then went out again. Good thing I let hubby shower first in case he has to go into work (not letting him drive in this for now, the roads are covered in debris).

Smudge does not like the wind gusts, but he's doing pretty good today so far. Looks at every creak the house makes, wondering what is going on.

Oh my. That sounds nasty!:eek::eek:
Good job testing him with a flashlight. That's rough!
I got a headlight thing - you know, like the one that miners wear? You can have both hands free this way. Highly recommended.
Stay inside and stay safe! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
My son has one of those, but of course I have no idea where. Been meaning to look for it, but that didn't help me today.

The endless challenges of handling FD now includes the weather :woot:
I hope you’re well equipped. I remember when moving in Italy we had a snow storms once so strong it broke all the electricity lines and we were without heating for four days :(

I am surprised we have been without power this long, usually our local power company is pretty good with getting it back on. Luckily it is about 60°F out today, so being without the heat is not so bad during the day. If it stays off past 3:00pm, we will have to hook up our generator so that we can have heat and save everything that's in the fridge.

Including the insulin :woot:
I hope it gets back soon :bighug:
