12/17 Recap

PMPS 133 +4 119 +8 98

I am writing this on the ferry again. Time to make my parent's log house ready for Christmas. DH is in charge, I hope Neko doesn't get any of his Christmas baking.

Neko was doing fine when I left, hanging around the kitchen even though she's done her meals. But that's where the action will be today and it's wet out so the solarium is cool. I'll pick up her new meds today when I get back. Thank goodness she likes pill pockets. This'll be her first ever daily pill. The rest of her meds or sups are liquid or powder added to her fuds.

Vines to all in need. Cheering on good scans for Amy's dad and Tricia's Minka.

I hope you have a good visit with your parents. Pill pockets do make things easier. I'm glad Neko likes them.

Your DH bakes? How lucky for you! And what a nice start to the day for Miss Neko- good girl!! :-D Hope you had a nice day with your folks- they are so lucky to have you close by! Good luck with the new med- I tried to get more pill pockets at Petco last night- they were completely sold out!

I hope you had a good time. It looks like Ron and Neko did just super!!!

I hope you wont' even see any difference clinically with her after she's taking the enalapril and the UPC just comes down in into normal ranges. I've not used an ace-inhibitor but I had to use a beta blocker with one of my cats (atenolol) and he did just fine on it. Paws crossed Neko will take it just fine and it will do what it's supposed to.

Her numbers are still looking great. Sending big hugs and thoughts. Hope the ferry trip and the whole trip was good. I miss having a wonderful, fresh tree but I just dont' want to deal with the cats in it

Re: 12/18 Neko AMPS 101 +9 89 PMPS 104

Chaos at our house again. An airplane buddy of DH's was here when I got home so cooking/baking was a bit distracted. DH is still cooking (gluten free french apple tarte for tomorrow's dinner at friends). Neko managed to scarf a couple of crumbs of the crust. We'll see what the before bed test says.

I picked up the benazepril. Unfortunately, it's Fortekor Flavor Tabs. My alarm bells went off right away. I'm worried about what is making the "flavor". I've been doing a bunch of searching and have yet to find what the non-medical ingredients are. The vet said just to try it and see if it raises her blood sugar. :YMSIGH: She can get something else in if it does. You'd think it'd be mandatory to list all ingredients on a drug.

@Elise, Carla, Ruth, Liz, Marje - 4 hours of vacuuming log walls. On the down side, I'm not done yet, just the main areas. On the up side, DM thinks the place is now clean enough to get someone in to clean the house.  DH made fruit cakes, Italian torte for dinner, and now the apple tart. The cooking courses I bought him were one of my best investments. :-D I still haven't seen a cat under the tree. Maybe they are waiting for the ornaments to be hung. Yup, still a work in progress.

Hi Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Nice day yesterday for Neko, lots of greens, nice low blues. Guess her baking sampling didn't throw things off too much. :-D

Wow on the meds. I concur though, they should tell you all that is in them. Unreal that it does not. LOVE (not) the vets response. :YMSIGH: well, good luck with it all. it's an area I'm unfamiliar with. Mannie was on amlodopine (sp). I think it was Amy adn Trixie that used an ace inhibitor? not too sure....

Have a great Friday!
