Morning ~O) Maggie let me sleep thru the night. I remember helping her onto the bed last night, and this morning I almost stepped on Mousie's head. :shock: So she had the mouse pole toy right beside my bed hinting that it was play time, but the Bean was too sleepy. I'm looking online for some steps for Mags to climb onto the bed when I'm not home. Mags is a shortstop jumper with her Manxy frame, but lately with the touch of arthritis, it's more difficult with the bed. Four P's today Detective Poo, since she had the magical prezzies yesterday. Maggie is sitting in front of the space heater even though I keep the apartment fairly warm. Have a great Tuesday. We have rain today and TWC says snow this afternoon for AZ, yay for Liz and skiing. I need to make a stop at See's Candy today and like Michelle says, let the day unfold and see what happens.

Nice blue start for Maggie. How sweet of her to bring you her toy in case you wanted to play in the night. :lol: Sweet girl letting you sleep. Good luck on the stair shopping. She will love those and it will be so much easier for her. Have a wonderful day Ann!

Detective Poo, here, waiting for a good prezzies report from Mags and soooo hoping to get one from Moonie today. Paws crossed! We have all kinds of steps for Zener, mostly boxes filled with books (for weight and stability) and covered with a rug secured by a bungee cord. Not very elegant but it works! :lol: :lol: Very nice start to the morning for Mags, too. :-D

Nice drop and not too drastic. I fed Mags about a tbsp. food right after the test, which was about 15 minutes) before shot to stop the big dive. Her Amps was lower, so she may not have dived as much anyway. Just an experiment on Mags. Of course, then there's my dosing.

Melissa, thanks on Mags. I think I may find her in bed more often at night with the steps.

Hi Liz, yes, definitely paws and fingers crossed for Moonie today. That's a great idea with the boxes and books as stairs for Zener, also good storage for the books. Bungee cord! :?

Hi Ann - sorry I haven't been around in a few days. It's good to see Maggie setting things up for playing with you, and letting you sleep :-) I hope you find a nice set of steps for Miss Mags - they so love to lounge on the beds, we don't want to deprive them of one of their many thrones! Nice on getting some steps for Maggie. I bet she'd like that. I've seen several advertized in Dr Foster and Smith's catalog, some are seasonably priced. I love Liz and Anne's plan - that works too.

Bummer on your rain. I hope it lets up some so you can get out for a walk, or whatever presents itself... I love to just let the day evolve... kinda fun to see what shows up. :-D :-D We have a rain and snow mix this morning. Some areas did get a little snow.. just enough to mess things up for the inexperienced drivers out there... :shock:

Maggie is off to a very nice start today - Love those blue amps. It is great to see her posing blues one now. YAY!

Hi Ann. Maggie is planning on having a nice day for you. We had to get a set of steps for PurrFace. Once his neuropathy developed he could hardly get into the LB. I'm sure Maggie will like them once she gets use to using them.

It looks like Mags will have a nice, safe surf. I waited until she woke up from her nap and asked for food before testing.

Hi Michelle,, thanks and I am glad to see her back to nice blues and greens. I used to get that Fosters catalogue. The rain should be sporadic, and temps are not bad either. I think Mags will like the steps, too.

Hi John, I think Mags does have a nice day planned for us. I'm sorry PurrFace has neuropathy. It's a bummer they get arthritis and those conditions.

I hope you find some nice steps. Maggie will love being able to get into the bed easier. Or what about a small cat tree?

We also use towels instead of rugs. He does tend to snag the towel and pull out the fibers. He likes to claw the rugs too. We use both cardboard boxes and plastic storage boxes. The bungee cord is wrapped around to keep the towel/rug in place. Zener uses his claws to grip things when he climbs. Here is an example.

I too have steps all over the house. It started with Check's sister Sammi, with her little short legs. A neighbor made a high one especially for her, to get up on the washer...now Checks uses it to get up to the sink. It's very narrow, so not to take much floor space.
I love Liz &Anne's idea of the boxes of books. What a neat idea for storage that is useful.

Looks like another gorgeous day for Miss Mags. :mrgreen:

Morning Ann and Maggie, how cute is she with wanting to play?? Nice slide into the lagoon today, woo hoo! Rained last night here now it is dreary. Good luck on finding the stairs I know a lot of manufacturers make them. Have a great day!

Mags has left the Green Lagoon. That's okay, as I slipped out to See's and a couple other stops. I left some food, as I wasn't sure which way she'd move. Thanks on all the visits.

Thanks Ann & Tess. Mags would love some company from Tess. A cat tree is a neat idea, too.

Thanks Liz for the pic of Zener's steps, very cool; now I get the bungee cord! :lol: I don't know what I was thinking there! Mags also uses her claws to clim onto things, except last visit they trimmed them. They're growing back though.

Barb & Checkers, I knew that Checks uses them; Oh :lol: so that's how he gets up onto the sink to get his drink. Yes, I'd like something narrow, too, as this is a small apartment. I think I saw some at Petco already put together.

Hi Michelle & Scrabble, I just caught in a downpour when out earlier. Good thing I had my Brooks walking shoes on. A lot of shoppers got caught off guard. It was just supposed to be light showers, but this was steady hard rain.

Nice blue/green surf for Maggie. Good luck with the stair shopping. My cat Callie needs a little extra help to get on the bed. I have a human footstool that gives her one extra step and that is all she needs. It is small and doesn't take up very much space.

But Glad to hear you are doing so well--Love the impromptu steps--Good idea--We have 1/2ed milk boxes that I covered with carpeting--one single & a double & they work well--Hugs & Love from us!!

Roni, thanks so much for your visit. :sad: on no poo. I'm wondering if your Vet will ok for Moonie to have some Miralax. Mags take it along with the Lactulose, separate times. I mix it in with a teeny amount of bf and water and she laps it from the spoon. I know Moonie has other medical issues, so what's good for Mags might not be good for Moonie, but worth a try asking your Vet.

Thanks Amy, Ann & Tess and Melanie for the visits. I started watching TV and kept falling asleep. Yes, I think those steps will work out. I never got back online to order them but will do first thing this morning. Yes, Ann, definitely will click on WAG on top. They are a few dollars cheaper on Amazon, but I can also order some kitty fuds and get free shipping with WAG, and it's here in two days.
