Those bounces do come in handy once in a while. What an amazing past 2 days. Hope you both get some rest before Lincoln decides to get back to business.
If he drops below 50 you don't have a choice but to give honey. Even with gravy on board you may be looking at going off schedule. You don't want to shoot a gravy/ honey influenced number.
i was late with +9 meal so thought i would test at +10 give a small snack and then push back shot by 15-20 mins
didnt expect that number at all especially considering his AMPS number
@Doodles & Karen well i think he learned to work the juice lol bounces clearing faster just like you told me they would start too... at least i am home... no plans.. 250+ strips and gravy and honey.... just worried about PM number now
Try not to give him anything else unless he goes under 50. I wouldn't shoot for 2 hours after you gave the last bit of gravy. Remember when you shoot low their cycles tend to be flatter. I'd get another test in 30 min.
This is a great sign for this dose! In future, if you see a lower number late in the cycle, first try giving him a little higher %LC, maybe 8-9% if you have some. Later in the cycle the insulin is starting to wane and you usually need less carbs to pull them up. And if you just feed LC, you don't have to worry as much about waiting two hours after HC before shooting. File it away for next time - since the first HC put the brakes on, you may or may not have needed the gravy at +10.5. This part is all one grand experiment.
ok so we are up for sure... and i have found with him he will stay at the lower numbers late in the cycle till i feed him... i wasnt home for +9 feeding he normally gets... so i was going to give at +10 and delay shot... but when i saw the 50 i did panic a bit and went straight for HC gravy
next time i will go with the LC 9% (natures instinct salmon is 9%) first
so last gravy was at +10.5 so i only have to move the PM by 30mins for it to be 2hours

Shot at 90.... First time shooting in the green... he floated beautiful though for 2 hours after last gravy so felt good about it.... excited more then scared lol so guess that is a good thing
