Good Morning !!!
Salem went out last night lol ! I think it was weird but great ! He sat in my sons truck and looked around out the window . I had to give him his insulin at 7 and my sob had a doctor appointment that i needed to go with him there was no one home to watch salem so i took him with us . Its the second time we did this when Daniel had a doctors appointment . My son had a strike at age 24 while he was at work almost two years ago they found out he had a hole in his heart . He had it repaired but he will be on blood thinners the rest of his life . Plus he Narcalepsy. We just found that out yesterday . Its a sleep disorder . Hes a good young man . We are a close family . My kids are my world and so is my kitty babies . I shot a 70 in his pmps last night lowest we ever shot . He did great never dropped . Shot low stay low . Well he didnt stay low long but he did stay in the blues last night . I hope everyone has a great day ! My son will be watching Salem this morning . I have to help her today run errands . Mom also had a stroke two weeks after my son so weird she also has a hole in her heart but being her age 72 they didnt want to risk surgery for her . So weird im finding out on my moms mothers side of the family im find out its hereditary. Daniel always had his check ups as a child but never had a reason for an ultra sound . The doctors tell me its a special test they have to do to find it . Daniels showed his with little bubbles of blood streaming up from his heart in the ultra sound . They use some kind of liquid dye they inject to your heart i believe thats how they found his hole . Since its hereditary i had my daughter do to the test shes fine but she takes beta blockers her heart races too fast . When she did the test she had an allergic reaction to the dye they injected in her it was a scare but they flushed it out in time she couldnt breathe thank God i was outside in the waiting area i would have gotten really upset if i saw it happen . It upset me just hearing about it . The nurse herself who did the test said it scared her . Thank God she thinked fast and flushed the dye out before things got worse . We have our troubles but Gods watching us . :bighug::)Thanks i had to vent this morning ! :):banghead: Oh and i found out dogs use litter boxes too ! Lol i know im off subject here im rambling . My daughter has a teacup chihuahua this will be great for her . He grew up around these cats anyways so he already acts like a cat !! Thought it was interesting that dogs use litter boxes too . Lol:p:joyful::D:kiss::):cat: chico thats hes name , Hes so little he weighed only one pound when she brought him home . He was a gift from her now husband . She loves him alot hes spoiled too ! Oh my goodness! I'm glad they found out about your son's heart issue early on and were able to repair it. Although those meds are not fun to take...he'll always be visiting the doctor and testing for that. Sorry to hear about your daughter's reaction to the dye - I'm allergic to those dyes too - usually iodine based stuff gives me the hives and causes my blood pressure to shoot sky high - they told me never ever to have that dye again because it can cause your trachea to swell and cut off your breathing - so no more dye for me. I had heart issues a while back and had surgery to correct - and fortunately no blood thinners for me! I was on beta blockers for a while but couldn't tolerate it as it made me want to sleep all day! I couldn't keep a job and sleep all day!!! So I opted for the surgery.

I'm glad that Salem went along and is a good boy and gave you a beautiful green last night! Be sure to add his AMPS to your title this morning so we can all see what it was.

Ok i added my amp results to the title . I typed my morning condo early. I was scared i would lose it before it was time to post so i went and posted early without it . Its updated now . I wrote so much i didnt want to start over again if i lost it before i posted it . So i post early before my test results. I hope your health is well now . Seems we all got sick this last few years . But we got each other to hold on to thru it all . :) Yeah jessica they told her to never let anyone use that dye in her anymore . she noted it in her records too .

That's not a bad number at all...and it could be that he's on his way down...I see he was a little higher earlier this morning.

Yes, that dye is bad stuff - it makes for a good contrast on the medium - but causes a lot of people issues. I had no idea I was even allergic until they gave it to me...Yes, it's very important for your daughter to ALWAYS TELL THEM that she's allergic. You cannot believe how many times the doctor has ordered CT scans for me since then with the contrast medium! I ALWAYS tell them - no iodine based contrast for me - if they can't do it without the dye then opt for an MRI that uses a different kind of contrast medium that is not iodine based.
 
Well, I must say you have your hands full with all of your babies!! Hope all works out well for everyone this morning. Numbers looking good. Dropped at +1, could this be an active cycle?? Will you be able to check again this morning?
 
Yes my sons going to be watching hes been learning so hes going to be watching salem while im gone i can trust him to do it and do it right he wouldnt want salem to get sick again . He just wont be posting or putting it in my spreadsheet . Hes going to write it down i will post it when i get back . It probably be this afternoon before i get back she makes me go to every store to save money lol ... like go to roses toiletpaper she says cheaper there luckily they not far from each other or we be wasting gas trying to save money wouldnt be worth it lol.....
 
I emailed one drop with a screenshot of salems spreadsheet so they see how much i test . Hopefully they will send me the extra strips with my order . Since the holidays are coming up ! I hope they send 300 strips

So does he know that if Salem’s numbers start to drop that he should try to feed a tsp of MC or HC food should they get too low?? And then retest again 1/2 hour later if they are low and / or are dropping?

Oh yes hes here everyday with me he knows the drill hes done it for me before hes done very well . He helps me . Plus he can call me . Hes smart . Hes almost 27 years old. I wouldnt leave him with him if he didnt know . Hes seen him go low several times. And he knows exactly what to do . I made him learn which he wanted to learn just for times like this... he cares for these ktties very much hes very responsibile

Ok. But can your son test Salem himself while you are gone?? If he’s dropping it’s better to feed the numbers then let him get too low and bounce or get sick.
 
Matter a fact he was ahead of hes class in school he was very smart . Hes got a photographic memory as well .. Couldn't get anyone else more responsible than him hes serious abt this . Hes the only one i can depend on whos learned it all like i Have. I Traind him to know everything just in case im sick, in the hospital ,gone somewhere or even if i Die so he can take over . Hes learned everything not just the basics . Only i dnt let hm put it on my SS or message board its the only thing he doesnt do. Not that he cnt do it. I Just rather do it myself .

edit: sorry if i sounded stuck up the way i said this lol i was in a hurry didnt mean to sound snooty about my son . Just a proud mommie. I reread it and it sounded kinda vain , sorry

How long does it take for one drop to send off the meter ? I know they got it coming in two days but its sitting now says unfulfilled ? I ordered yesterday afternoon . Excited about getting it . Im inpatient when i order something .
