What a yucky color pink is this morning! Simon got a dosecrease this morning and I'm hoping to see some better numbers soon. Today, I am off on a mission to buy some more food that will be to his liking. The Wellness has run its course and he hates the Blue Wilderness I fed him this morning. The amount of money I spend on finding food that Simon and Cleo will eat for more than a couple of days at a time is huge. My grocery bill for the week is practically less than my cat food bill! Oh well, what do you do. Simon and Cleo definitely have me wrapped around their paws.

Good luck on the dosecrease and finding a food for Simon. Maggie didn't like the Wellness or BW either. It's a challenge finding something they like. What about any of the Fancy Feast flavors? Some of them spike Maggie's bg, so I use as a mc except the Seafood Feast. Enjoy the fuds shopping and don't forget to buy yourself some food, too! :smile:

I hear ya on the food wars! It's definitely a never-ending battle around here. I've started "blending" foods, and that's actually giving me more options! Lately, Trix has been eating a mix of Fancy Feast chicken and BG chicken. She wouldn't touch the BG by itself, but with some FF in the mix, she goes for it! Funny stuff.

Boy howdy, we hear you on the search for food! Zener was a lifetime kibble eater so the transition to wet food was tough and we still struggle with his appetite. I do believe I bought every single kind of canned cat food available in our town! We finally found a couple of foods he would eat - one is purina pro plan urinary formula 11% and the other is a fancy feast chunky chicken 5%, so we mix those to get 8%. The magic weapon to finally get him to eat is Fortiflora sprinkled on his food.

Simon looks like he is coming down nicely!

I just got back from a Christmas party and tested Simon. I wasn't really too worried about leaving him for 4 hours since he was at 220 at PMPS time. I guess the extra juice kicked in a little. He has been all colors of the rainbow today except blue.

I'll be up a little longer than I expected tonight. Will re-test in 45 minutes or so.

How about boiling chicken thigh (no skin) and then pure it w the stock to enhance the aroma of the canned food. It's low carb and low phos.I do that for Rocket and it adds extra nutrients to him. And both Cleo and Simon can eat it. I have that bullet blender to pure it.I boil the chicken thigh as is low phos instead of chicken breast as it's not good for Rocket's CRF. Just a thought.
