Our hearts are broken as we had to say goodbye to Muffin today. Her condition was not getting better and continuing to poke, prod, and medicate her without good results for her wasn't an option anymore. Her mass in her throat was either cancer or a massive infection which invaded her lymphs. She was not responding to antibiotics and pain meds weren't doing enough. She was having major problems eating now. Muffin was the sweetest cat on the earth and we felt she had endured enough. Our hearts said it was time to let her go. cat_wings>o

I'm so very sorry. You went above and beyond for Muffin, and I know you would have done more if it would have helped. You've given her the ultimate gift - her freedom, and I know it was very hard to do. She knew love and great care in her last months. We'll all be thinking of you and your sister as you mourn this sweet little girl. We share your grief. :(

I am so sorry to hear that it was Muffin's time to leave for the Bridge. That last gift of love is the hardest to give, but you let her leave with dignity and now she can run and play at the Bridge, healthy and whole and free of pain once again. She knew you loved her, and she will forever have a place in your hearts. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

(((Julie))), your beautiful girl is flying free. At the Bridge she is "in good paws" with all of our GAs. And in your heart she is a permanent resident. We are very sorry for your loss. You did all you could for Muffin and listened to her when she told you it was time.

I am so very sorry. Sometimes, our kitties let us know it is time. Despite the heartbreak, the best we can do is be wise enough to listen.

Fly free Muffin and land softly. Many of our kitties will be at the Bridge to greet you and keep you safe until you are reunited with the ones you love best.

 
Oh Julie, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss! It is never easy to make that decision, even when we do it for all the right reasons. I hope you are able to take comfort in the happiness and love that Muffin brought into your life. Sending lots of love and my deepest condolences. :bighug::bighug:
