I haven't heard back from my doctor and I'm NOT worried about this at all.... but think it's more funny.

I had MY own bloodwork done yesterday and the panel showed slightly high glucose.

Here I have spent so much time taking care of Kona that I haven't been keeping up with my own health. Looks like I can't be having all those late night sugary snacks, eating fried chicken and pork ribs all the time and need to actually exercise. :p I will NOT be injecting both of us with insulin from the same Lantus pen. ;)

That’s funny because I just had the same result with my labs. My doctor wants me to repeat my labs as there was a bunch of wonky stuff. (Perhaps my complete exhaustion showing through???)

Staci, let’s not be on the human diabetic forums reviewing each other’s spreadsheets and talking about our pink preshots. :smuggrin:

Us diabetic cat parents HAVE to have health effects from the sleep we miss, not to mention the stress and worrying. I remember reading a recent study on this, I’ll try to dig it up.

Well shoot, I hope your follow-up labs show it’s something transient. It’s like 30 degrees outside, but I’m going to buck up, grab a friend and will go on a long walk for some exercise. I wish Kona would do a leash and can come.

She is ALWAYS asking to test. I posted a video the other day of her in the spare bedroom in the dark next to the testing tray. She tries to pick up lancets… I can’t make this ish up.

Like clockwork, everyday she goes to the spot where tests are done, she’s waiting.

Obviously she associates pokes with food. I’m so happy it’s the same case with the shots. I’m lucky she is the most compliant patient ever!
