I can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted a condo for Champ, but I've been so busy with work and decorating and a tiny bit of shopping thrown in!!

Champ has been doing really well. I had him on 2.5u for a long time, but he dropped to 38 two nights ago so I skinnied the dose down. Yesterday's AM cycle BGs showed the effects of the low numbers from the night before and he had a bit of a bounce, but he kicked it to the curb in just a few hours. He tried to get me up at 5 a.m. today because he's so used to me being up by then and nuking some chicken breast for him. I REFUSED to get up so he made my life miserable until 7 a.m. when it was shot time and I had to get up. Man, that cat can be soooo noisy when he gets going!!! After his test feed shoot, I went btb and he actually zoomed around the house for about 15 minutes before landing on my bed at about 100 miles per hour!! He then curled up at my feet and slept with me for four hours!!! It was AWESOME!!!

Complete O/T, but the development where I live has a house decorating contest at Christmas and I actually took third place!!! I was so excited!! I moved into this house just a week before Christmas in 2009. I didn't decorate that year because I just didn't have the energy since I was still moving in. Last year, I went to Texas to be with my parents for Christmas. So, while this is my third Christmas in this house, it's actually my first year to decorate and spend the holiday here. I've always gone whole hog when decorating the outside of my house for Christmas, but this is the first time I've been judged on it. I can't wait until next year.....I've got some ideas up my sleeve!!

I hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. I'm going to try to be better about posting a condo for Champ. I just always feel guilty putting up a condo of Champ, having all of you visit us, and then I can't reciprocate and visit everyone back!! But I will try to do better so you can all see how Champ is doing on a more regular basis!!
 
Great to hear from you, I know about being so busy this time of year. Nice on the reduction, Champ is indeed a Champ!!!!

Champ IS a champ! He must feel good to be racing around the house that way. If only we could adjust his inner clock so that he'd do that when you are fully awake. :mrgreen:

Congrats on the decorating prize! Photos....?????
 
SWEET!!!!! A Champ condo! How cool is that. :-D It is great to read that he is doing well - really awesome. Love the wake-up story.

Nice on the third place! way to go!!! That is kinda cool. :cool: :cool: post some pics!
 
Yay! I was just thinking about you guys tonight, wondering how you were doing. Very exciting about the decorating contest! I always enjoyed decorating, but just have not had the time in the past few years. It's great to see you're both doing well!!!
 
hahaha if we entered a contest we'd get a sympathy win or something. "well, they TRIED, but it's a major fail. perhaps there's a consolation prize we can give them." my husband and son did it this year. 3 different types of lights across the straight line front of a ranch house. i keep my mouth shut because they're so proud of themselves, and remind myself we live at the back of a cul-de-sac so no one sees it anyway! :lol:

apparently we all need pictures! you could open a loose lips tomorrow and post some!

glad to see you & champ! i didn't even open a condo today cuz i was so late getting online, just doesn't seem worthwhile. i'm sure no one minds if you just open one and don't post all over. i know i don't. life is far too short to keep track of "i posted twice in your condo and you haven't visited me!" :shock:
