Good morning!
AMPS 119

shooting .1u
hmmm. What happened between yesterday's +6 and PMPS and continued overnight into AMPS?
I don't normally keep track of what foods I give Boomer, I just give him a variety in his auto feeder and try to keep his absolute favourite for the overnight +6. And I calculate the carbs from calories for all foods before I ever give them to him and try to keep the carbs from calories under 5% because he seems to be very carb sensitive. But to be honest I don't totally trust the information that the pet food companies are giving. I find it hard to believe that, for instance, Natures Variety Salmon is 9.5% but Purrfect Bistro Salmon is 2.16%. So today (AM, +3, +6, +9) I have fed Purrfect Bistro tuna which, according to my calcs, is 3.3%.
If it's not the food, then I don't know. Boomer was a bit grumpy last night; he kept shoving my hand away and snapping at me when I was testing him at PMPS. He stayed sleeping on his testing table after PMPS which he quite often does in the evening and later in the evening when I called him and held up his brush for him to see, he jumped down and came for a brushing. So other than being a bit testy with me and the higher BG, there weren't other signs that he wasn't feeling well. He had a poop right before PMPS. No meat loafing. And he's eating fine.
There have been times before when he's been in the 60s then suddenly a few hours later he gives me a blue number. It seems to be Boomer's version of a bounce. And he did go into the 50s yesterday.
I don't know; I guess we'll see what he does today. Sometimes when he's higher he drops quickly in the first 3 hours. Last night I thought that might happen but it didn't.
And yes I do know this 119 is still considered a good number. But it still concerns me when I see him go up like that within a few hours.
