Recovery day for all of us today. I was/am exhausted, and I think both cats are still stressed out from yesterday. Bell is running under the bed everytime I open the closet to grab my coat. Poor girl. Her numbers seem to still be floating high here. Hopefully this is the tail end of a bounce and not just a normal baseline. She hasn't been drinking quite as much water today as she had been on the pink days so that is really good.

Blair seems to be mostly leaving her wound/hot spot alone. I somehow managed to put on that powder neo-predef powder today... Put a lot on myself too

Anxiously awaiting the results from Bell's culture, but that will most likely be a few days at best.

@Staci & Ivy : I can't imagine dealing with both those issues on top of FD. The broken leg would have broken me... Dealing with these stresses (in hindsight) helps put in perspective some of the day to day "stresses" we deal with. I wouldn't have thought in a million years that I could be doing injections and getting blood samples from a cat. Necessity sometimes forces growth. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

@MinnerPip: Thank you! It is really good to see Minner clear her bounce so quickly. She's getting so much good healing time on those blue cycles. I hope tonight isn't another bounce, but don't be discouraged even if it is. I'm glad you found a dose that is pushing her into the blues.

OMG "fake shots". Poor Blair may feel left out. Cats :rolleyes::rolleyes:. Wish they could understand words somedays.

This is a really good point. I haven't been as engaged as I should with Blair and maybe that is contributing to some of this stress for her. Unfortunately, she is not a lap cat at all, so I can't spend time with her passively. I need to make a concerted effort to spend more time with her. She loves to play. She also loves pets but makes me walk all around the apartment to pet her. She just can't stay in one spot .

Thank you so much for the encouragement!

@Tim & Pookey : you are lightning quick on the "likes" as always :D. Love the new Pookey profile picture. I think I may need a new one for Bell, mine was when she was pretty sick and had the Libre on.
Haha - I am chronically on this forum trying to learn and watch others. Probably too much.

And thanks about the pic! It’s fun to take videos of him and then pull out the still images. Love Bell’s sweater in that one though :)

Ivy and I send you all best wishes for recovery after that traumatic day yesterday. I hope both girls feel better being home. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Glad you have some time to recover. If ever you need another urine sample, you can think about free catching it. Like that you don't have to go to the vet. Less stress for Bell and you and I think the chances of contamination are low. There should be a recovery spa for fd-parents. You earned your place for sure! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
