Hi Everyone,

I'm at the auto shop getting the oil changed. It's a beautiful morning and we are seeing sunshine for the first time in a week. But rain and freezing rain are on the way. Rusty was in his little bed by the radiator when I left. He had a good breakfast ( first sitting) and I hope he remembers to eat the rest by the time I get home. Edward is at yoga.

Another batch of cookies to make today, and I want to drop off some toys for the shelter cats this afternoon. Maybe some local Xmas shopping.

Wishing you all a fine day and continuing to send healing vines to all in need,

Ella & Rusty

You are already up and at it! Enjoy the sunshine. Rain and freezing rain is no fun. How about some green Rusty? Have a great day!

Tis the season for cookies and shopping!...and unfortunately rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow

Very nice nadir today Rusty!

Surf safely...no need to go any deeper into the lagoon! (remember Rusty...there's sharks out there!)

Nice surf for Rusty today. Yuck on the freezing rain. I hope it's not too bad.

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

Wow, nice day for Rusty! Love that +5.5, quite the drop, but it is good to see he is back at the lagoon. A little bit of a bounce tonight Rusty?

YAY for sunshine! That remained elusive her today. ;-)

How wonderful to bring toys to the shelter. Very cool!

Get those cookies done? I may have to come to your house, I could use some cookies. :-D

I hope your day has been a good one. have a great evening!

Hi again,
The LagoonMeister had a dive into the lagoon, a climb up the bank, and is back on shore. His appetite has been good. His breathing pretty good today. He had a good play with his "octopus" and his chipmunk on a wand.

I took some store-bought toys and catnip socks that I assembled from our old wool socks to the Humane Society. The "greeters" there are a large white rabbit and a fat tuxedo cat. I resisted going to look at the cats (Rusty needs to be an "only".) Then I did some Xmas-present looking, but little buying. Then I came home to start the Linzeraugen. Going down to bake them shortly.

The sunshine today was quite a novelty. The trees, all totally laden still with snow, were beautiful. We lost one big branch on one of our towering pines last night. It just could't bear the weight of the snow. I hope the rain/freezing rain/sleet/snow that are on the way will not cause any tree casualties.

bbl, the Linzeraugen call (and Rusty is calling from his spot on the couch)

Rusty made quite the splash in the lagoon today! At least he's starting from lower down tonight. Hard to resist a cat calling you from the couch.

You place does sound beautiful with the snow. I hope the tree retain their limbs. We mostly lost small bits in our last storm.

Linzer cookies. Yummm! What type of jam do you use? I found a recipe for Linzer cookies from my favorite chocolatier, and he dips the final product in chocolate.

Nicely done, Rusty. Did you get out for any skiing or snowshoeing? I went to Sedona for a bike ride today, very nice. :-D

No skiing or snowshoeing, unfortunately. My hamstring needs to heal better before I go out and stress it again!

I use raspberry jam and apricot jam in the Linzeraugen. (Traditional Viennese). (Although the recipe was my DMIL's and she was originally from the Black Forest; she made them with homemade red-current jam).

Ni Ni, I'll do better at visiting condos tomorrow.

What a nice cycle for Rusty today! I'll take a dozen of those cookies please! ;-) Ella I sure hope you don't really get the freezing rain-stay warm and safe!
