wasnt able to get many reads today. Had to work a double with the blizzard and then a snow plow totalled my parked car so its been a day. Very stressed about getting a rental so i can get home on breaks for his shots. His libre is on the fritz. Still showing me numbers when i scan but not registering on the graph anymore :((

he's doing great today. Active, super good appetite. I work overnights the next few nights so i'll be able to monitor more during the days

I’m so sorry you have had such a bad day! You poor girl! I hope things improve for you and you can get a car rental sorted.:bighug:
Thank you! I was one of two cars in the parking lot. I thought the guy was joking when he asked me to page the owner of a green car because they hit it. I picked up the extra shift to help pay for vet bills since his estimate for dental is 1,400-1,800 and im like wow just my luck. Im trying the feeding at +1 +2 and +3 to see if it helps with drops. About to go scan him and give him a little to eat. Im thinking if im doing that i should maybe split a can between those three times and just give him one can at shot time instead of two

If he’s getting about the correct amount of food at the moment (ie he’s not over or underweight) then you could split a can for the 3 snacks and feed the one can at preshot. If you think he needs more food, then give snacks as extra food. Remember that food is really important in the recovery of DKA. So we don’t want him eating any less food.
Are you still testing every day for ketones?

When i was petting him today i was thrilled that i no longer feel his spine or his ribs. His hips are still a little sunken in so he's not 100% where he was weight wise but we're pretty darn near close. Im just trying to find different ways to make him have more of a curve and not dips and was advised to try feeding at shot time and then the first three hours. Ketones im trying to get daily. Yesterday i wasnt able to being out of the house for most of the day but i did get them the day before and they were negative. I've noticed he hasnt been drinking aaaaaaas much as he used to so i used to catch him in the box more often. I'll be home all day today and tomorrow because im working overnight so i'll definitely be able to grab a test today.
