Yesterday Neko started red, broke the bounce down to at least low blue and then sailed up again in the evening. Basically one cycle all day.

Confession time, Neko likes corn. We used World's Best cat litter, which is made from corn. I cleaned one of the litter boxes last night, but since I knew Neko likes fresh litter, I put a half inch of the old stuff on top. Last night, after +3, I heard a ruckus in the room where one of the litter boxes rests. Civie Theo likes to watch Neko use the LB.
I chased him away and guarded to door for her to go. She seemed to be taking a long time and there weren't any of the sounds I was expected. I took a look. She was half in, half out the box, had dug a path down to the fresh letter and was snacking! :twisted: :shock: I think that explains last nights zoom back up to red.
Today's cycle is starting to look like yesterday's. She was playing with her nanner around +4.5 so I knew she was in the high 200's again. A little while later I turned my back and I think she might have had another litter snack. ohmygod_smile She did pee in one side this morning which is usually enough to taint the litter so it isn't snackable until the next LB cleaning. But she was hovering over the other side of the box, and I knew she didn't have to use it!
I think that next time I'm going to buy the multi-cat version of the litter, I'm hoping it smells a bit different. There are very few litter types Neko will use, so I do want to use something she approves of, and other than the occasional snacking, WBC has been successful.
We got a bit of sleet on the ground overnight. Neko went out briefly, but it was funny watching her walk on the deck. Every time she picked up a paw, it got a good shake. The up side of the litter snacking is that we plan to go to an open house later this afternoon, and now we might just have that permission slip.

But I didn' test between +9 and +12, so it could have been anytime in there. It's a great example to show that nadirs can change, especially when they are breaking a bounce.
