Remember, if you get a Pre-shot you're not sure about, stall, don't feed and test again in 20-30 minutes

IF the number is coming up on it's own without food, it's usually going to be OK to go ahead and shoot (good for you on shooting!)

At least until you totally trust that you know Myagi well, you'll want to get a +1 and +2 when you shoot a lower number, just for safety. It's easier to intervene early than to try to play "catch up" later.

I can't stay with you tonight to monitor you. I've been up late the last few nights dealing with Peanut's crisis, and I'm fighting a virus and running a temperature, so I'm going to be calling it a night early tonight.

Don't forget that if you need to, you can edit your subject line and add the 911.....also, although your replies should be here on the board, you can always post that you need advice on the Facebook group (add the link to your post here so people can find it quickly)

Sleep well!!! I know you're exhausted. Don't ever forget how much you are appreciated!!! I've got a bug too. Take care of yourself and China. Goodnight!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am so aorry Heidi!

I feel asleep.

You don't have to average, but some do. I am glad you did!
He nadir usually around +4 so testing again in about half hour. Mom has worse cold than me so heat is up more than is comfortable. It makes observing him difficult cause i know I'm miserable. Lol thanks for coming back :bighug:

If you're guessing his nadir is +4 based on his am cycles, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, it doesn't necessarily apply to the pm cycles. I wouldn't say you have enough pm data to know where he nadirs at night. But it might likely be in the +4 to +6 range, if Myagi is in to the consistency thing (lucky you if he is).

Keep in mind he can burn through those carbs and come back down from that 109 (although you are still plenty safe in the 70s, he should drop a little further still), it's good that you are monitoring closely.

Sorry I wasn't in earlier, but glad you shot.:) I would test a couple hours after the mid carb food, to make sure he's still up when the carbs wear off. If so, you are good to snooze.

Sorry Asia's being "dramatic". Wish we could do these pj parties physically in the same house with food and wine and we can take turns napping!
Please don't forget that Myagi has been on insulin only since 12/1. The data is limited because we're new to this. But I did say usually because am or pm, that has usually been his low. Who can say! Lol thanks for coming over and keeping an eye on us while your other eye is on Asia!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

That would certainly be a nice thing, probably just as easy to monitor 2 cats as one. Even if we had other FD people near, though, my thought would be most cat's wouldn't be so happy to have another cat around.

Absolutely, that wasn't a judgement or anything, I was just saying that a typical daytime nadir does not equal a typical night time nadir (wouldn't that be nice, though). All you'll need are a couple of PJ parties and you'll fill in the blanks soon enough! :joyful:

Thanks for checking in Wendy! Myagi would like to call it a night but I don't want to put mc or hc on board when this is a fairly safe night to see how he's responding to the 0.1u. So bubba's got at least one more test ahead of him. He's had lc all night. Just the one tsp of mc because of the 54.

Strictly speaking, the rules are he earned yet another reduction because of the 78. But that was an average of the 54 and the 102. So couldn't i hold off on reduction since he just cleared his bounce? Thanks! :bighug::bighug:
