We are off to the vet today for Enema #3 --She has been on 2ml lactulose for several days..she is eating minimally, not even enough for me to shoot her at night..She dropped last 2 days into low 60's & few 50's, and when she wont eat, I am rubbing her gums with honey..So even yesterday, she was AMPS 224, and dropped all afternoon without eating more than a few temptations..
The poo mass seems to have moved some, so I am praying with all mys heart & soul that this will be the day!! This would be the best birthday & xmas present I could get...DH was sick yesterday with asthma-cold thingy, so I did go out for a haircut--Our lives seem to canter around looking in the LB amd trying to get food into her..
She has eaten some ground beef I am cooking for her which is amazing, as she b=never was a Big fan of beef except bit of steak now & then---
She was 250 this am so I gave her like a drop or 2 of insulin, & lactulose before we go to vet...
Now if you can, plkease say a prayer for her to go....All I want for Christmas is poo!!

(((Roni))) sending major poo vines and prayers for a successful enema this morning. I have a feeling enema *3 will be the lucky one. The Lactulose should have softened up the mass by now, paws and fingers crossed. So glad you got out for a haircut. I know on the poo lookout in the LB! :-D Wow with the ground beef and glad you are getting her to eat something. Hugs and lots of healing vines, poo vines and prayers for you and Moonie.

Roni, sending poo vines. I'm hoping the third is the trick. Once that passes maybe her appetite will come back. Paws crossed and (((hugs)))

All I want for Christmas is Poo .... sounds like the new song this year. :lol: :lol:
Be careful reaching in that stocking, won't be the same as getting coal. :-D


Hope today brings Moonie some relief.... her appette might get better if they could get something out of her.

THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS!! :lol: :lol: :lol: iT BROUGHT MY SPIRITS UP! I shot 2 drops today, as I couldnt have her going low after vet..She doesnt eat after these events!!

We went to vet & he gave her another enema #3 --Some Poo came out, a little liquipoo too, but still a lot in there..He told us to keep her in bathroom as he felt liquipoo would be coming out today--
No Such Luck!! But we are thankful some came out & that it has moved down her insides closer to lauch area ohmygod_smile
She is so exhausted & drained everytime--I am giving the lactulose, praying we dont have to go back for another enema which he said maybe possible ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

As far as the prednisolone, it is in short supply right now, I was sure the other vet had put some away for me, but they couldnt find it--My vet will be in next week, we would like to have it for when all this poo leaves!!
Still All I want for xmas is POO!!!! She is so tired & I truly HATE doing this, but htere is no other way..

awww, so sorry no poo! Hoping the liquipoo does happen tonight...got to be better than no poo.

(((Roni))) that sounds like it's getting closer to a real good poo and hopefully tonight! Vines and prayers for Moonie to have a good one tonight. I hope they locate the prednisolone. Lots of hugs and prayers.
 
Sending more poo vines, maybe Moonie needs to eat them for them to work. I know Liz and Anne have a tummy massage they do for Zener when his abdominal motility is off. I wonder if that would help?
 
Zener likes to have his tummy rubbed anyway so we add in a little massage sometimes. We think it helps his stomach motility and we can feel a tightness loosen up sometimes. More poo vines for Moonie, hoping for some action tonight.

I have a feeling you are going to wake up tomorrow morning with a poo-saster. Poo everywhere - explosive diarrhea all over your furniture ;) .And a cat sitting in a clean corner grooming itself like nothing happened.

Overnight prayers and wishes for poo! Sorry I didn't call you this evening. It got to be late. Will give you a call tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully by then Moonie will have had SUCCESS!

(((Roni))) So sorry to hear of Monnie's poo problems and more vet visits. I haven't been on the boards regularly for a few days. I keep my fingers crossed for a BIG HUGE POO in the LB this morning for you!!!

Hi Roni!

I'm so sorry little Moonie is giving you more stress with poos. Please make some poos for mommy Moonie! I hope you did by now. We have all been waiting so patiently and really need you to do this. Mommy is getting very tired. You'll feel so much better.

I hope she has gone by now and the vet had a solution.
