Late condo

Definitely not my day yesterday. Icy roads and wind chills below zero. I was already late on my way to the shelter and then they closed the one major road because a semi slid down a hill, backwards, and jackknifed. Luckily, I made it and I was only about 15 minutes late. One of the other volunteers was over an hour late because the roads were so bad.

Shortly afterwards, the company that was going to service my furnace cancelled - their truck was in an accident on the bypass. So I actually had time to take Iris to the vet instead. Good news is that her lungs are clear and that the infection is all in her nose this time. There is LOTS of green discharge. The vet switched her to Baytril, added homeopathic drops and some essential oils. I am also continuing her vaporizer treatments and trying to get nose drops in (not very successfully). Hopefully, that will loosen everything up.

The big boys are both doing great! ...despite the fact that I managed to sleep through two alarms in the middle of the night. Mandarin once again dropped below 50 and I fed HC food, stayed up for another test, set an alarm... and didn't wake up until after 7 am, with the alarm still going. I think I was officially exhausted. Luckily, he was fine... and it looks like he is aiming for a second drop below 50 on this dose. Walter has also had a couple of great days is once again back in the lagoon.

I am about to visit some condos - and then it's back to grading papers...

I get exhausted reading your condo's most days. So glad you made it safely on those roads yesterday! Guess that's good news for wee Iris and good luck with the nose drops. Just flabbergasted over Mandarin...so exciting and that 41 was awful close to an automatic reducie! Nice to see Walter surfing along too. Hope you get some more rest in between kitty duty and paper grading.

The roads are not in the best shape (and are about to get worse here tonight and tomorrow). Glad you made it safely. Why is it cats pick the busiest bean times to add to the mix?

Walter, seriously?!?:oops: Let's just say that it's a good thing that I had no plans of going anywhere today. It seems like the boys' new goal in life is to have at least one of them drop below 50 each day. :arghh:

Yo Walter, you know how to surf safe, so let's see some safe surfing! The waterwings are wearing out!

Good news about Iris. I hope her infection clears up soon.

Hope you get to take a nap between papers.

So glad you are safe! What a schedule you are keeping.

Great about the boys and their drops but, bad about your PJ Parties.

Glad Iris's lungs aren't involved but, that poor nasal passage! I forget, did they x-ray? Hope the new AB will help along with the homeopathy. Sending vines to all and taking up a collection for a new super hero costume because I know the old one must be worn out ! Here's hoping some rest tonight!

I cannot imagine being able to get drops in a kitty's nose!!! Sending anti snot vines for Iris

Settle down boys, how about you both practice your surfing skills instead of tag teaming on your poor mombean like that :D:D

I hope Walter comes up and surfs for you. It's great to see the boys in the lagoon, but I hope they surf higher for you. I'm glad Iris has clear lungs. I hope she feels better soon. I'm glad you were safe on the roads yesterday.

I am officially done for the semester!!! After a grading marathon today, I just hit the submit button and all of my grades are in. :woot::woot: I would say that it feels really good, but I am too tired to say that for sure. 75 papers and exams in 5 days - it's a good thing that I get three weeks off now.

Luckily, both of the boys came up nicely. Maybe they did finally realize that Santa might be watching. ...and their bean is definitely happy with both of their spreadsheets these days. I just hope that I can get some sleep tonight though.
