Hi guys. Hardey says hi too.
We've been doing really well OTJ... at least until last night. Not sure what is going on. About two months ago he was diagnosed with either IBD or lymphoma of the intestines. I think I finally have the belly issues and diarrea issues under control (without the steroids). We switched food to Freshpet Vital, which supposedly has 4% carbs.
Last week, we had great levels (he was on the new food a bit and I was checking more to make sure it didn't go up). On Friday, we switched completely and last night his BG was the highest since he went OTJ. Obviously, I'm going to stop the new food. Probably have to deal with tummy issues again.
My question is - if I just switch, is it possible that will bring it back down or do I need to start insulin again? How long will the food stay in his system?
I am so frustrated. Help.
