Q: What's worse than a fur shot when your kitty has given you only the second green preshot of the year?
A: A fur shot when your kitty is already over 400. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

She was doing so well -- until the fur shot of 12/7 (AMPS 91). Since then, I guess she's decided that there's no point in going to all the trouble to get down into the greens if i'm just going to ruin all her hard work with bad shooting. I finally gave in and increased two nights ago, and of course the numbers have only gone up since then.

I hope everyone else's week is going better!

Not sure why @Diane Tyler's Mom GA tagged me. Maybe thought you needed more sympathy?

Anyway, fur shots happen, for me one fur shot meant another was soon to follow. :rolleyes:. Glad you increased, but I would have done it earlier, maybe around the 11th when it was obvious that she wasn't coming down when the depot filled again. Good luck with good shots!
 
Thanks so much, @Diane Tyler's Mom GA and @Wendy&Neko. I thought about increasing sooner, and probably would have, but she's had a bit of a rough go of it this past week, starting with a visit to the vet to check out what I thought might be back pain (she sometimes lies down without putting her butt down all the way), and her fish breath. They got as much of a look into her mouth as they could without sedating her, but it wasn't much (Vet: "She has the tightest lips I've ever seen"). They agreed that her breath is not so fresh and put her on clindamycin to clear up any possible tooth infection. They also prescribed Visbiome to counter the GI effects of the antibiotic, as well as gabapentin for whatever was causing the discomfort in her back.

She was doing SO well until the last fur shot that I thought "of course" she would go right back to those nice blues and green as soon as things leveled out, but that was wishful thinking.
