Yesterday's condo

Well I hadn't planned on being gone for 3 hours after I got the 60 at +4, but that's the story of my life. Luckily, China was a good girl and if she went a lot lower, it didn't bother her and she's being a nice flat cat for the rest of the cycle (so far anyway)...I suppose if she did got a lot lower while I was gone, I may see a bounce later, but hopefully, she just surfed along in those nice 60's

Mom's got a badly swollen big toe today so our plans were scrapped since she can hardly walk..they're going to soak it and see how it does and they're thinking she may have an ingrown toenail but we'll just have to wait and see.

I had a doctor appointment for me today for the first time in a very long time...She wanted to know when the last time I had all those "routine" tests was...I had to say I really had no idea...it's been years and years since I had those things like mammograms and such. I did have a problem with my knee though, and she took some x-rays and after looking at them, basically said "EWWWWW!!!"...and told me it looked like I was going to at least need surgery to clean out my knee joint, if not replacement...that's just what I need..to be off my feet for Lord knows how long

Next stop, the orthopedic surgeon!!

Ouchie, sorry on the possible knee surgery :sad: Hoping it will be a minor thing. Nice numbers for China though :mrgreen: and hopefully no bounce!

I'm glad China surfed safely for you while you were out. Sorry about your knee. Hopefully it will be something simple.

Only a little bounce..China is pretty predictable these days, but I'll happily take a 206 over a lot of other numbers!

Not really looking forward to any kind of surgery on that knee..can't see me being able to be off my feet for any length of time with mom's health and all, and I know that even if it just needs to be "smoothed out", that's a pretty painful surgery...and if that's all they do, I can probably bet it's just a matter of time before it has to be replaced in the future. Might be better to get it done and over with now instead of 10 years from now..but it still doesn't make it any easier to be off my feet for however long.

Guess I'll just wait and see what the orthopedic surgeon has to say in January...for now, I got enough to worry about with China's dental on Thursday!

At this point, I think it's a pretty good bet that sometime between those 60's I got during the AM cycle, there was a lower number that I missed, since we're bouncing a bit tonight.

Hopefully she'll be back down by AMPS as she usually is. I'm wanting to try to transition her over to raw food and see how she does on it (IF I can get her to eat it). I got a Primal Sample Pack that contains 3oz of 4 feline formulas...Beef&Salmon, Turkey, Pheasant, and Chicken&Salmon and have 3 of the little "chubs" of the Pheasant forumla and the Turkey defrosting tonight...tomorrow we'll just have to see how it goes, but I hope they realize it's edible!!

This idea of trying to feed raw is a daunting one for me, so any of you who have experience, I'd sure love to know how it works with you!!

no experience feeding raw - but wishing you the best of luck. i'm kinda a squeamish sort! :lol:

urgh on the knee - i hope it ends up being minor. knees are pretty important! you're a strong person, but i'd hate to wish taking care of an elderly parent, plus a diabetic cat, along with surgery. :shock: let's hope there's a plan B for you!
