Having them change his meal from 1.5oz to 1oz starting at pm cycle @am/pm PS, +2, and +4, then will up his dose from 1.5 to 1.75 at wed am cycle.

Hope you got a flight out today!

If they get too confused by the 1.75, it might be better to just have them hold the 1.5 for now, but hopefully they'll be able to figure out that between the lines at 1.5 and 2.0 there's a dose called 1.75

Are they checking him for ketones while he's there? Just something to consider since he's running a little higher than you'd like
