I am happy with Sheba's progress. My main concern now is she drinks enough water to keep hydrated. She will usually have extra in her food for me but when she has a pancreatic flare she gets dehydrated easily and she won't eat if there is water in the food. So I have to cut back the water if I want her to eat.....
I offer her chicken stock instead and she will drink that sometimes.. ...and sometimes she won't.
She is eating if I give her something she likes/wants. Small amounts at a time. Not terribly keen on her raw food yet, but she does this when she is sick. I don't think she wants to have to chew it. So I am giving her canned mostly. Jess the dog is the lucky recipient of all her food rejects.
Not doing much flopping on the floor now and moving around more.

Cool and raining here today after 2 very hot days. The rain is very welcome.
Our early Christmas dinner went well last night and we had fun. We will still be having our normal Christmas on the day just minus one family.

Just checking on Sheba, and it's great to know she's not feeling as bad as a couple of days ago, Bron. I smiled at Jess getting all the food that Sheba doesn't want :)
Glad your dinner went well too.

Good to hear that Sheba is on the road to recovery Bron, albeit at her own pace. Have you tried making a purree of her raw if she dislikes the chunks, might be easier to lap up for her. Lucky Jess getting all the leftovers.
Glad you had a good time with all the family, enjoy the welcome rain!

Thanks Suki and Karen.

Sheba is bouncing today after 7 green cycles. However it hasn't effected her eating.
Last night she seemed to lose her nausea quite quickly and started to eat really well and was happy to eat her raw food, even with some water added.
This morning she is hungry and is eating the raw well. Almost back to her usual CPC. What a relief. I hope it lasts.
She even came and jumped on my lap for her usual after dinner snuggle last night. She hasn't done that all week, so I was very happy to see her do that.

Thank you Voula, Leslie and Jayla.
Sheba has had a good day today and eaten all of her food. The limp she had in her back leg has gone too.......I think it was from the pain of moving with the p...titis. She gets a bit of a limp most times with it or has trouble getting up from the lying position.......guarding her tummy I think....anyway it has gone.
@Voula it was great having the zofran. It certainly helped the first night and stopped me having to take her to the after hours vet for something to stop the vomiting. She had cerenia the next two days with zofran in between.........I was really happy to have it on hand....thank you for helping me with that. Hope all is well with you and Lucy :bighug:

Great news about Shea eating we and the limp gone Yeah ! Did she have blood work at the vets Forrest will limp after BW, check and see what leg they drew from. It was the first question the receptionist asked me when I called and told her he was limping after the /w visit .

The water intake is tricky since she won't eat with the water included Maybe now that she is eating better you can sneak in small amounts .

How wonderful that Sheba is eating and feeling better and better in every way. Keep it going, dear Sheba!
Glad you had a good early Christmas (and you still have the real day to look forward to).
Also glad that your temperature has cooled off and that you got some rain. Guess what? It was 16 degrees below zero Fahrenheit here this morning. It's just a little too cold for this time of year, but we'll take it because it will freeze the ground and make a good base for skiing and snowshoeing.
Have a good day, Bron.
