Oz has had some relatively good numbers again in the middle of his AM cycle the last couple days. It's just that he bounces up so high at the end of the cycle. He's still on 2.5U. I don't feel comfortable adjusting the dose yet.

Side note- Is there a better way to record +X.5 readings? I've been putting them off to the side in the remarks section. If I put anything over than the BG reading in the actual cell it won't change to the correct color, and I can't color it with the paintbrush either.

PS- Oz is sitting on the counter top right now, staring me down and flicking his tail. LOL

Cats know when you're talking about them. Even if it's on the internet. :lol:

To show extra tests in the cell on the ss, you "stack" the numbers and then color them by hand.

For your 12/13 for example, in the +6 cell, I'd put:

6=77
6.5=81

Then go up to the row just above the + times - first there are alphabet letters. Just above those there is a row of icons. You want the one that's about in the middle that looks like a beaker pouring out. Mine is over column K, but that might differ from one ss to another. Click on that and then look for the section of "custom colors". Click on the one of those that is the color you want. Or you can click on the other colors too, but i think the custom ones match the formatting choices in the spreadsheet. That will color the cell for you.

Right now he's really bouncy. He's having green nadirs in between the bounce numbers, which is awesome. It looks like he's clearing bounces in about 24 hrs. The more time he spends in normal numbers, the more his body will get used to them and stop reacting so dramatically.

One thing you can immediately do - when you see him hit a green number give him about a teaspoon or two of low carb canned food. sometimes that can help a cat surf along and stay there.

With bouncy kitties, the thing we usually suggest is manipulating the cat's curve with food. Jill wrote about how to do that to someone not too long ago here. Take a look at that and see if it makes sense to you. If we can prevent Ozgood from cliff-jumping down with his blood sugar, that could reduce the bouncing as well. The basic idea is to slow his drops down to less than 50pts per hour. See what you think.

I followed your advice- worked perfectly! Now my spreadsheet looks a lot better and I'm sure it's easier to read. Thanks! :-D He had a better PMPS tonight- 283. I've fed him when he's hit the low greens (50's). Maybe I've fed him too much? I probably gave him 3-4 teaspoons at those times. I'll check out the link!
