Tomorrow morning marks his 28th skipped shot!
He's got this!!
Question: He is due for a b12 shot today.
He isn't showing any signs of a funny walk or anything so I'm wondering that since he's been so green lately if I could or should stop giving him b12?

Happy Day 13!

Sorry, I don't know about the B12.

B-12 is a water soluble vitamin excreted through the kidneys if in excess.
Which form are you giving him and why?
If it is cyanocobalamin to control or prevent pancreatitis, I'd give it, as that could knock him out of remission if it flares.
If it is methylcobalamin to remit diabetic neuropathy and he is not displaying any symptoms, you probably can omit it.

It's the cyanocobalamin. Which is weird since I thought it was for the funny walk since he wasn't diagnosed with pancreatitis.
I'll give him his shot tonight and maybe skip it next time.

my vet is a fan of vit B12 shots - she says they can really perk up an ailing kitty. I think i'd keep giving them a little longer, then check in with your vet about whether or not they want you to continue. i don't think they could hurt anything. B vitamins just excrete in urine if you have more than the body needs. Maybe I'd use up whatever you have already bought.
