The farmer's market was very nice - picked up some huge heirloom tomatoes, cilantro, jalapenos, cucumbers and zucchini.

Luci is doing fine.

We're off to the beach this morning!

We're off to the beach this morning! Well that plan changed the minute we opened the door! Too cold for the beach today - so how about a walk around our property? Here are some pics I took while we were walking; it's a beautiful day! I feel so blessed and privileged to live here!

These are heirloom tomatoes... some people call them ‘ugly’...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for taking the time and sending me a picture...:)
Their colorings are beautiful. Reminds me of when I lived in NJ and the tomatoes were called JERSEYS. They were so delcious and when you opened them they had a bluish tint to them. Used to love to eat them when they came out in the summer time with roasted/chopped eggplant, now that's a taste one has to acquire.

Beautiful property Sue!

I saw the picture of the alligator the other day. This is one I took at a wildlife refuge in an area we fish(ed) often (pre-FD). We were on vacation and took off a day to go walk around the area. One of the Fish and Game guys told us where to find him and told us that we weren't suppose to go through the road arm gate but it was open and to go ahead. The thing was about 13' long and was across a water channel and hissed at us the entire time. We would also run into a few in the bays when fishing. It was kinda scary to have them surface 20' from you in a 14' boat!

These tomatoes are called cœur de boeuf in French, or beef heart, and are very common in Southern Europe. It’s a pity that they charge them for such an indecent price here.
I tried to grow them once, I only got one tomato out of the plant!!! It was so heavy lol!

In most places they're terribly expensive - I paid $1.50 each for those - they were so huge! We'll get two huge Caprese salads from each one - a meal in itself! With fresh basil, a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar glaze - oh yum!

OMG! That's a monster! The large ones like that are out in the glades. About 30 miles away - and they can stay there! If they get too big and are trotting around the golf courses, the gator wranglers are called to remove them. They're not very pleasant to have around - because they scare everyone half to death and will attack and eat pets - and sometimes unfortunately people as well. We like to keep our distance.

Do you really understand how very fortunate you are to live in such a beautiful place?
I truly do - we don't go walking out there nearly enough - it's about two miles around - I should go every day - weekends usually work best!

Omg don’t you just LOVE heirloom tomatoes!! Mmmmmmmm
Come on down Luci and be a good girl
Have fun at beach Sue!!
