Thank you for all of the concerning and helpful words. I realized after I wrote it that the fructosamine test was not an option, to the exact reason which was responded to - Harry's numbers have been low at times, and all that would do is level out all the high's and low's....which wouldn't help. I just think it's a way for the vet to "be in control" again, as I've told him before that I am not 100% agreeing on what he says. So, for now Harry is mine and I'll do what is best.
He had a good day today, I'm finding that doing an earlier spot check (+4 instead of the +6 for the nadir) is better, more relieving to myself knowing that I could catch a drop early on, (thanks again ladies) as well as decent numbers across the board. Not as bad as other days.
I gave Harry food (MC) to eat as it was his dinner time anyways, and checked again after an hour for his PMPS ....but will do another spot check before I head off to bed to see where he's at.

...Yesterday was obviously a not-so-great-day, but deep breaths and Harry not struggling today for his BG tests was good. I made sure to hold the sock on for extra time, and extra petting since yesterday. Which he likes. I will try the neosporin trick as well, anything to get his ears less red and irritated. He's been scratching them afterwards a little bit.

I'll post again tomorrow of course and tomorrow's another day.......
Although it seems like every time that I think Harry's doing well, and has better numbers, he either drops into the green or does a somogyi. Normal?
