Happy Sunday!!! Sending more thoughts and prayers to Josie and Will and healing vines to all who need them today: Zener and Liz, Jupe, John and PurrFace, Rhiannon's Shadow, Lucy, Jupe, and Jessica. Thank you all who visited yesterday as I got caught up in Christmas activities here.
Mostly what I've seen of Gracie today is a little brown flash. I started decorating the house yesterday (until 10 last night) and continued this morning. By this morning, I had all the faux poinsettias set out and she and Tobes were dashing from one group to the next and diving under them....just having a supreme time    I was able to snap a photo which will be our Tenth Day of Christmas. So far, the Christmas tree has remained intact. Paws crossed that Missy G tossed aside that nasty NDW and I hope she is starting to settle into her new dose.
I finally got an appointment with the A.C. and she contacted Gus. It was such a comforting conversation; she said she has never seen the spirit of a beloved pet so full of light, peace, love, and happiness. She said it was because we gave Gus permission to go out of love and everything was peaceful and full of love as he transitioned. We talked about an hour and there's too much to put in the condo but two things she said were amazing to me. First, she said he showed her four people and Gracie & Tobey in the room (it was Mike, me, and the two vets) and Gracie was on some kind of platform (like a shelf).....she was on his squids condo. And then she said he gave her the image of Mike and showed his "strong hands but gentle spirit". He "told" her that, while he associated me with maternal nurturing and love, he saw Mike as the gentlest of souls and they were best buds/pals. He said he was ready to go physically but was very sad that he had to say goodbye. It was a wonderful conversation and just made us feel so much more at peace to know he is. Oddly, Tobey is most often found under the tree right next to Gus's urn:

And here's Ten Days before you know what!
On the Tenth Day 'fore Christmas, Gracie gave me a guffaw....she was playing in the poinsettias!

Sorry about my lack of poet skills. I'm going to try and visit now as our HOA party is tonight and I won't be back until 9 pm or so. Have a lovely evening.
