Felt compelled to post a Cleo condo today because I'm feeling relieved. Cleo has FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis) which can present like symptoms of a UTI but without infection. I think (and hope) that I caught the signs early enough and took action. She is VERY good at hiding her pain. I should have known it was coming. She was refusing almost all her favorite foods and treats. She's basically a hoover when it comes to food. And she was drinking so much water, about 6oz a day.
Cleaned all the litter boxes, replaced the feliway plug ins, added extra water to her food (she's not a huge fan of soups), added an extra tea cup of water in the living room (she won't drink from a plastic bowl only a porcelain tea cup ), increased her cosequin to twice a day and gave her some gabapentin for the pain. She's acting more like herself this morning and her AMPS shows it.

I am scheduled to evaluate this dose tomorrow morning (after 5days 10cycles total), but am going to see what she does today and tonight before deciding.

Good morning Angela.
Nice blue  Happy to hear she is feeling more like herself. I hope she continues to surf steady blue and green!
Sending you prayers and positive vibes for FIC. Have a nice, relaxed Sunday.

Wishing you and Cleo lots of luck with this new condition. Cleo is in such good hands with you in charge, Angela :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks Staci but its not new. She's had FIC a/k/a FLUTD for about 2+years now. She gets a flare up maybe once or twice a year usually because of stress. I haven't slept in just about 3 years since her dx then have to get up and go to work the next morning along with all the other grown up human things we have to do, but she's stressed :joyful:

I hear you Angela. Same in my house.
Ivy needs gabapentin to go to the vet. (I think it’s really me who is sleep deprived and needs sedatives with a dart gun!)
