Last condo
Felt compelled to post a Cleo condo today because I'm feeling relieved. Cleo has FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis) which can present like symptoms of a UTI but without infection. I think (and hope) that I caught the signs early enough and took action. She is VERY good at hiding her pain. I should have known it was coming. She was refusing almost all her favorite foods and treats. She's basically a hoover when it comes to food. And she was drinking so much water, about 6oz a day.
Cleaned all the litter boxes, replaced the feliway plug ins, added extra water to her food (she's not a huge fan of soups), added an extra tea cup of water in the living room (she won't drink from a plastic bowl only a porcelain tea cup
), increased her cosequin to twice a day and gave her some gabapentin for the pain. She's acting more like herself this morning and her AMPS shows it.
I am scheduled to evaluate this dose tomorrow morning (after 5days 10cycles total), but am going to see what she does today and tonight before deciding.
