Had a 5am wake-up call today. The coffee wasn't even brewing yet and Attie was quite happy to get me up!!! :lol:

Breffis #1 has been had, preening, and sounds like playing is going on.

No Gary this morning yet. Somebody at least got to sleep in.

A bit warmer this morning by about 2F up from yesterday, but last night the temps. held up in the mid-20's. Didn't seem to drop until after 5am.

Nice numbers! You can give a little bit of LC to help him surf, sometimes bits of food help with that...you gave him a mini meal at +3, right? Maybe a bit more at +4? Surf, Attie, surf!

Feeder should rotate for food in a minute...

Well he really 'front loaded' on food now....I am anticipating a 60ish number, but still won't panic (ha,ha) I promise. I am more curious/concerned for the 6.5 to 7.0 number.

Keep in mind Attie pestered me awake this morning to get this breffis going. A shift from pinks/yellows to yellow-greens would be great...

but not so low on the greens.... nailbite_smile :lol:


PS. I just had to decline a lunch date with a vet who is looking at being able to recommend my business to his clients. Thank goodness he understood and was/seemed impressed with what I was doing & handling.

The lower numbers may not cause a bounce since he's arriving at them gradually, but even if he bounces, this is the kind of cycle you would hope for as often as possible.

It looks like the front loading is working well for him, the goal is to slow his early drop. Once you get to this point, often just giving about a tsp of food every hour or so keeps them surfing in those numbers until they get past nadir....then not feeding allows them to surf or rise slowly as the insulin effect weakens.

Obviously, that's an ideal scenario, sometimes you need to tweak it...but that's the general idea.

No panic, all front loaded low carb. I'll check again in about an hour to find out if this is a bounce or if today's curve was easy enough to avoid a bounce from these fancy green numbers.

Sorry about declining the lunch date...that's a shame. Too bad Attie couldn't share his plan with you ahead of time! They do have a way of keeping you home when you need to go somewhere!

Actually, I think it will be OK anyway. The vet agreed to put my brochures in his lobby and link my website to theirs. So, I do have to find time to crosslink them in my community pages.

Hmmm...back down ? Old history does indicate he drops going into the end of the cycle.

So ...I'm starting to wonder about shooting tonight. This is the first 'real' data on the new feeding schedule without the drama drops muddling the decision making.

Sort of feel like I'm starting all over again... :?:

That's still within meter variance, and they do wobble sometimes...this is a GREAT cycle for Attie! :-D

There's plenty of time before you need to worry about shooting tonight, enjoy the beautiful surf! I'm betting he will start climbing before PMPS.

Oh thank goodness....at least he is going to start to come up....whew...

What a great overall day for Attie. I sure hope I have the stamina for tonight!!! :o

I have to say I am very happy. Attie though was a bit grumpy about his pre-shot test. :?

Course I can't blame him. It seems sometimes these walmart strips just don't want to sip lately. Plenty of blood there...just won't sip or real slow...weird.

I put some neo on it and hopefully he'll be ok when I check on him this evening. He really doesn't have a choice tonight.... ;-)
