Between Chispa and my job, I've been run-run-running for the last few days. I had to go downtown to my office for most of the day today, so of course she would choose today to start out with a green preshot. Given the weirdness of her sudden drop two nights ago, I wasn't comfortable with giving her a full dose and not being home to monitor. So I did my first BCS (2 units), fed her a second breakfast before leaving, and left two MC meals in the feeder. It was probably overkill, but I figure, better too high than hypo.

She is actually flatter when you shoot low, so you could shoot the full dose and feed carbs to be safe.

Oops, yes -- should have been 2 this morning -- I just changed it. Thanks for noticing.

Thanks too for the observation that the lower the preshot, the flatter the curve. I never realized it before, but looking at her SS, I see that you're absolutely right. I'm wondering now if there is a Lantus-related reason for that, or is it Chispa-specific? Either way it's useful knowledge, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. :):cat:

Lantus gives flatter curves when shooting low. Also bounce clearing cycles have more downward momentum. Chispa's higher preshots are mostly the high before the bounce breaks.
