Dose increase tonight.

Geesh - two more day. I am really tired today. Gizmo is currently sitting beside me watching me type - lol

Got great news yesterday - my vets offices and hospital will reopen next Monday!! I will try and schedule a follow up urinalysis early next week.

I have been giving the EZ Egg Yolk since ~12/01 and his is feeling good. Early on he had another hair ball (and a stomach acid throw up) but nothing since and he seems to be feeling really good. And, as a bonus, his fur is super soft and shinny! He is much more mobile - sleeping in different places and getting up into bar chairs that he has never jumped onto ever. Just increase to 1/8 teaspoon 2x/day. No issues with liquipoo.

Next week I will introduce the Cosequin and then the Omega-3.

He is eating relative well - the occasional missed +7.5 snack but it is a tiny bit and it is primarily for his stomach acid.

So happy that Gizmo's vet office is reopening soon! Great news on how well he is feeling and eating. Enjoy your vacation ... just a few more days!

What a relief about your vet reopening. Good luck with the dosecrease. What's the egg yolk for? Hairballs? I'm glad it seems to be working whatever it's for. Yay for a spry Gizmo! :cat:
 
Glad to see he is doing better. And I like your staged plan. Yum doesn't like a lot of additives in her food. I've smeared S. boulardii on her paws. Poor thing. I can see her walking around in the future with patches of supplements smeared all over her paws and sides, wherever I know she can lick them off. Bwahaha. That works until they get too sick to care...

It does have phosphorus but a small amount. I am going to keep an eye on it and decide to continue or not after next BW.

Larger than the BG monitors but not huge - 2-3x the tiny size of the BG monitors - but you want to be sure to have plenty when you test because the strips are about $1/each :eek: and will error out if there isn't enough blood.
 
I don't know there is a blood test for ketones. Thanks for the info. (We've had Tut isolated all afternoon waiting for a pee.) He's a pretty good bleeder.

So nice to see them more active, isn't it! (We were just playing.)
 
Last box of ketone strips I got were through Amazon (prime/free shipping) is was $17.30/box of 10.

When I got my meter ADW had it on sale. It was $36 and came with 10 ketone test strips and 50 BG test strips.

This is great! You have your vet back, and Gizmo's doing wonderfully!
 
It's great to hear that the egg yolk powder is making such a difference. Are you still using the AVJ?

Has Gizmo been really unwell? I've only been here on and off because of work/other stuff, but I hope that he's been okay...?
