Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty had a bounce going last night at bedtime and it continued into this morning. He'll probably start back down now (but Edward thought he smelled Lev.; I didn't). We all had a good night. This morning Rusty and I had a nice schmooze and a combing. He hasn't finished his breakfast yet. He's enjoying a snooze in his little bed by the radiator.
It's supposed to get above freezing today, so the melt will make things sloppier. We are going to the mountain club's monthly potluck this evening (they sure do come around fast!). Fortunately I'm down for a salad, not a main course!! This afternoon I have to start my cookie baking. I'll be making the first of two batches of orange shortbread cookies.
Our Xmas tree is still in the little greenhouse, propped up against the potting shelf. We'll probably put it up on Friday so that it has a chance to settle in before we put the ornaments on--probably next Sunday. (We are traditionalists in our family and, if we were going to be home for Xmas we would wait to put the tree up on Xmas Eve; but we'll be traveling on Xmas Eve and trimming the tree at my nephew's house. He may even go out to cut one down on Xmas Eve!)
Wishing all a good day and a fine week ahead.
