Sorry I haven't been around in several days - things have been quite hectic for me lately! I have been keeping my spreadsheet up to date though. You will notice I didn't test him for a couple of days recently - I ran out of strips! So very unlike me!!! I was sure I had another container left, but apparently I didn't!!
We went to see the vet again yesterday to see how his mouth is healing. 2 out of the 3 areas we have been monitoring more closely since his last visit on Dec 1 have healed up nicely. There is still 1 'pocket' left where his left upper canine was that has not healed up as yet. Although these liquid antibiotics aren't helping the BG numbers, my vet thinks he should still be on them for a bit yet until that last area has a chance to heal up. She figures it is taking a little longer for him to heal since he is a diabetic. We have another appointment to see her again next Tuesday afternoon.
Other than this small issue, Morris has been doing quite well. All of his P's are in fine working order! He still gets a little grouchy when it is time for his ab's & when it is time for me to rinse out the food from that pocket in his mouth. Hopefully his mouth will heal up PDQ & then we can stop those activities!
