Kind of a blah cycle for Mr. Garbage Hound today. I am wondering about food and surfing...if giving a teaspoon of LC encourages a surf, should I be giving him that at +7 or 8, or with the insulin wearing off at that point will it cause a food spike before the next PS? His preshot numbers were looking SO good, and I'm disappointed in the last few cycles.

Hi guys .. Nice job on finding the blue floor mikey! Not to sure about the food question .. I know most people say not to feed within 2 hours of their ps numbers .. have a great day!

Hey, Garbage Hound is looking good! I'm not sure about the food question either. I've mostly heard of encouraging a surf with food in the sense of preventing a drop.

LOVELY PM NUMBER, MIKEY!!

The wisdom that I have heard on late snacks is that food given after nadir causes the insulin to work harder...
That being said, for some reason, a small +9 snack seemed to work for Lil Mr Binks and a couple of kitties that were
close to going OTJ. Seemed to support a sputtering pancreas...ummm, but i can't recall the reasoning behind it :roll:

here's hoping a wiser one than I can clarify it.
