Good post-supermoon morning.

Sootie's ambg 82, and was gung ho at top-o-the-stairs, cheering me on during my usual slow creaky ascent.

Seems breffis not so interesting. I was adventurous yesterda, added a bit of splurge-purchase Fromm's salmon chicken pate. Back to the ho hum stuff this morning. But is dabbling at it and with fishy crumbles atop. I'm wondering if Sootie's slightly higher ambg bc of the fromm's and bc yesterday's doses of the omeprazole goo were less than ideal (more of got on me instead of in her).

Yesterday on way home from the rx misadventures, stopped at the "freeze dried minnow store," hoping to bring home a special treat. But they had just closed for the day. Oops. Sorry, Sootie. I'll try again this afternoon when I'm over that way for dentist appointment .

Sleeping on "it" (yesterday's dilemma of vets' conflicting instructions about continuing fluids and a/b or not) didn't reveal any dream-like epiphanies but I did get in some much needed deep sleep zzzzz's for the first time in quite awhile.

I'm glad you got some sleep last night. It's great to hear Sootie is waiting for you. I hope she eats more for you today. Crazy on the conflicting vet advice. Good luck making a decision. Sending prayers.

Yep, often feels like we're in a Kurt Vonnegut universe.

Azalea pretty good this morning, yay. Was nibbling on the last of her late night snack when I brought in her breffis. At the moment she's more interested in me drawing the bath water so that she can be sprinkley-doo'ed when I'm in the bath tub! A routine that Sootie's sister GA Guernsey "invented" when she was a kitten with Sootie and Azalea becoming avid fans of it to this day.

Hoping your day and your kitties' day will be sunny. We lucked out here on no snow...yet.

( in Scandinavia today is Lucia Day. A day to celebrate the coming of the light as the days begin to get longer after the winter where the sun barely peeks above the horizon during the day. There are customs and a procession in each home with a crown of lingon greens and lit candles, special pastries and coffee in bed!)

And with Leslie reminding me that today is St Lucia's Day, am beginning to feel....festive...and more full of gratefulness then ever. And for all the blessings and kind and loving beings in our lives now...especially our LL family!!! and glorious day for all.

ETA: and Sootie's +5 was 69 and....with the aid of a baby syringe for the omeprazole goo, got 90% of it in with one squirt. Our sweetie not happy about it but I seem to have been forgiven evidenced by her enjoyment of some Semi crumbled freeze dried...real salmon...treats vs the fake flavor goo gunk. This bean to dentist soon, with the do fluids/a/b or not do a/b but moderate fluids conundrum unresolved! Maybe by the time I'm back home they'll have figured it out!

Thankfully it was uneventful. Good cleaning and could see birds enjoying the bird feeder (with a squirrel deterrent) outside the window and a fat squirrel on the ground busily storing up on the residue seeds.

Good evening all and happy Cold full moon and St. Lucia Day, with winter solstice coming soon...

Sootie's pmbg 82...a bookends day, yes?

Appy off, managed to avert the cerenia tab, then spit it out twice when pilled her. Her kookbof utter jaw jutting disdain: "I do not want this. I do not need this. Do you understand????" Will try again. I see a contest of Sootie-Sina willfulness coming!
No word on the vety a/b fluids conflicts. But she could do with some fluids (tenting test) so will do that in a little bit as well as offer a different fud.

Seems that, far as I can tell so far, that the omeprazole capsules have sugar. And some tablets do some don't. But all in at least 20mg tabs. Began to wonder if I was getting a bit OCD about that Med and not cerenia (so far can't find anything that indicates whether cerenia does or does not include sweeteners). Am I being OCD about this?
