Yesterday

Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a slight vetty-visit bounce yesterday and hopefully will be back to "normal" later today. He had a good zoom at bedtime and this morning did his usual trick of waking us up 2 seconds before the "ducks" iPhone alarm. He ate about half of his nighttime fuds, most of that half this morning, as I was getting dressed. Now I'm going downstairs to hold the bowl for him.

It's snowing lightly. We'll be going for our walk to the post office shortly. Today I need to do paperwork, write some Xmas cards, bake the first batch of Xmas cookies, and make a lentil soup (trying out a new recipe that I might make for our New Years' Eve party if it turns out well).

Looking good Rusty! It is nice to see the lagoon Meister on duty. You surf well today, 'K?

That walk in the snow sounds so nice! We, believe it or not, we had a snow "event" here last Friday. 2", No school, so Nicholas and William and I spent the day with snowmen, and snowballs fights, hot cocoa, and several Kindle games while warming up from our outdoor adventures. Wow! Snow in Seattle, go figure...

Good luck with the soup! I hope that came out well.

Hi Michelle, Wow, snow in Seattle! I remember a few times when it snowed there: what a mess the streets were!
So neat that you and the boys had a snow day together. Is it Nicholas's birthday yet? Happy Birthday to him from us.

Soup turned out well (from Jane Brody's first cookbook). I made one mistake (chopped the carrots instead of grating them--was busy with the cookies at the time!).

Rusty is so happy that Lola, Bug and Vanessa were at the party. The pizzas were great, as were the hot toddies.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) So sorry I am so late in reading your reply... It has been more than busy! Nicholas's birthday is next week, on Christmas. hard to believe he will be 6! We survived our snow event, had some more yesterday too. That one was next to nothing, even with the snow falling most of the day. Seems the snow fall was very localized, lol, mostly over my house. Crazy weather. I hope all is well with you.
