12/13 Moonie PMPS 161 saw vet, nothing yet!

Hi LL! Moonie is somewhat better, more like her sweet self & not miserable like yesterday! She ate chicken today in am and 1/4 can maybe of FF T & G--Tonite back to the vet--I am so worried about them giving her mild sedation tonite to remove manually the poo in her colon, with her age & ailments--Man vet made me very fearful, but, what's my choices?? Let her die doing nothing, or take the chance they will be able to do this without complications? She is 16 1/2 FD, & Hyper T--I think she is still dehydrated, so they will need to look at that--My Vet will be there tonite--Hope she will be able to give us some light on situation..

Man vet said she has some time yet, but not a lot.. That hurt me..Like I didnt know??
But he was kind &tried to help..
Prayers needed that tonite go well & I take my baby home from there Well, alive & Better!!

Sending good thoughts. Eating is a good sign. Glad Moonie is feeling up to it. Hope the procedure this evening clears things up enough that Moonie is able to
poop. Hang in there. You're doing all you can.

Hang in there Moonie. Sounds like you dont have a choice but I am sure he will keep the sedation really light. If she is constipated things can get toxic in there real fast. Sending healing vines!

I'm glad that she ate, always a good sign. I'm sure that they know how precious Moonie is to you and will take great care w/ her. Sending lots of feel better and poo vines for Moonie.

(((Roni))) Sending mega vines and prayers for Moonie that all goes well with manually removing the poo. I meant to ask you yesterday if they did X-rays? Mags didn't have hers removed manually, but she did spend two days (came home at night) at the Vet, and it took three enemas and lots of fluids to keep her hydrated before she did a poo. Love and hugs to you and Moonie.

We are sending tons of vines and soothing snowflakes for Moonie's procedure tonight. Roni, I know you are scared, but I also know that you will be such a comfort to your dear kitty while she is at the vet and later, when she gets home. All of LL is with you! It is good that she was eating today. And it is really good that Moonie's regular vet will be there tonight with you.

Roni, if Moonie got those hard poo removed, can you check if it's hair inside the poo causing the constipation? Hairball can also be a cause for hard poo too.
 
Saw our own vet, she did another enema and Sub Q fluids, as she did not want to give Moonie sedation at this point, felt it was too risky for Moonie.
Moonie gave up a tiny bit of poo, but nothing yet--Took XRAYS as she was afraid about her tumor blocking things or had grown & was causing the blockage..
Xrays showed her colon filled with poo, not a tumor, although there may be one, so that was good--She suggested an u/s to see how tumor is & if it grew any, Then put Moonie on prednisolone.
She said it was my choice to give her the pred now or after the u/s..May do the u/s next week..She said Moonie has a heart murmur now, in addition to her FD & hyper T...so so upsetting!!
Now poor Moonie is on the bed, exhausted & just totally spent..I feel so very bad and DH is so worried too.
Please do a Poo prayer for Moonie, it would help so much..
She ate this afternoon, but now is just exhausted..My heart is just broken for her Yet I dont want her to suffer..DH had an asthmatic reaction & I have shingles, guess we cant help reacting to all the stress between our house and Moonie.
So again we are watching the litter box..Thank you all for the support & love you have for us, believe me we feel the same..PRAY For POO--Hugs & Love from us!
 
I'm so sorry you guys are having such a tough time...many poo prayers are coming your way, and you know how magical LL poo prayers are!!!

Has the vet checked on how Moonie's thyroid is doing now that she's been on the meds for a bit? I wonder if she may need a dosage adjustment...things like heart rate can be affected by the thyroid not being regulated.

Please try and get some rest...snuggle with Moonie...the rest will do both of you lots of good!

A little bit of poo is good I think.. Means things are moving a bit? Sorry to hear both you and DH aren't well either.. My dad had a really bad case of shingles a year ago.. I hope yours isn't severe.

Moonie can have some of our poo,,, with three cats we have a ton and one of them is having diarrhea again so I'd be glad to get rid of it...

Maybe the heart murmur is because of the stress of constipation? Does that happen?
 
Sending more vines and soothing snowflakes. The enemas may still work. When Cleo (GA) was constipated she had 2 enemas and nothing , until an hour after the second one and klunk out it came as she was walking across the kitchen!
