I know this is a major food spike . I've been getting up throughout the night to feed her and early this morning I mixed her LC with a food I've never used before. Garland went CRAZY for it. She scarfed it down and begged for more. It was the FF flaked shrimp/seafood one? When I opened it, I was surprised to see a bunch of real flaked seafood. Even whole shrimps. She loved loved loved it. So in the few hours leading up to shot time she had almost 4oz of food. I'm expecting her numbers to come down later once it wears off

Hope she comes down for you! We have served that FF before, but my kitties don't care for it. Glad Garland liked it. Great to hear how well she is doing and eating so much! Hugs to you Violet!

Glad to see that Garland has her appetite back.

Cini can't eat anything too chunky but he used to like the FF Classic flavors.

I bet that FF flaked fish and shrimp smelled real smelly too :lol:

That was one of Weezer's favorites too. I thought it was low carb though. Could the spike be from eating more, rather than the carb content of this particular flavor?

Seems like the flaked varieties weren't as LC as the Classics but I don't think they're high carb...somewhere around 7% or so.

Hi guys .. glad to hear that garland was craving some fuds! I would also be surprised to find little shrimps in the food .. I always think of mulched up foods when I think of cat food .. but anyways, glad to hear her appy came back! Have a great day!

I thought according to Binky's chart that is a low carb one. I have used it on Harley with no food spike. Let me look again.

I'm not sure about the carb content. But she ate a ton right before I got her BG reading. So I knew it was high because of that .If it's a low carb flavor, I may have to get this for her again , she just loved it so much :-D

What a night I've had. It's 10pm and it feels like 3am. @-)

My 3 year old daughter suddenly seemed very tired and mopey.. Warm too. Just thought she was tired because she missed her nap today. I skipped her bath and put her to bed. Then my 19 mo old was refusing to sleep. After giving up on that battle, I heard the strangest cough coming from Charlotte. I went to check on her, she was sweating and had a temp of 102!! So strange, bc she had been running around just fine a couple hours before that. Then she threw up... :cry: So i gave her a luke warm bath to bring down her temp, some ibuprofen and put her back in bed. Spent the next hour trying to get my son to sleep. Ugh. He's always so easy. This had never happened before. And yesteday he learned how to climb out of his crib, so everytime I left him, he kept climbing out. Finally let him back up, went to check on Charlotte. She was drenched in sweat and a temp if 95.5!! What?!?!? I changed her clothes and sat with her a bit. Her temp came up to 97.1. At this point I've decided I'm gonna have to take Ethan for a highway drive to lull him to sleep. So off we went. It took 30 minutes. Finally got him home in bed and checked on Charlotte. She wasnt as sweaty, but now the themometer is missing :-| What??? Sigh... Who knows where it went . But before I tear apart the house, I'm gonna try to catch her weird cough on video in case the pediatrician wants to hear. What a night .
