Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Thank you Elsa! Well, bouncy kitteh this morning, but I don't think it was a furshot last night.

WE got RAIN!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: An inch in the first half hour! The winds that came in first knocked out our satellite dish and then it just poured.

I was baking and it was nice and cozy inside. So far just short of 3.5 inches. Got to go get packed. I picked a great day for a long drive, didn't I? :roll:

Have safe travels, Ann. Are you sure you want to go out in that weather. The news reports of your storm here sound scary. Don't drive into any large puddles: you can't tell how deep they are!

Ann left at about 11:00 AM this morning. Just showers today, the main storm was last night, and earlier up north. We got a total here of about 3.5 inches. Our satellite TV was out, but is working this morning. Maybe the heavy rain interfered with the reception. Ella, the news reports exaggerate because no one here has seen real rain in a couple of years. And they build roads and houses during the dry season when there is no storm run off or mud flows to think about. Storm drainage is handled by signs that read "road flooded during rain". Enough of my civil engineering rant, but I remember a tornado in Minnesota that hit Brookland Center at evening rush hour, then we had a night of rain following. Total amount of rain overnight was 20 inches, and the only big problem with flooding was the 20 odd houses that lost their roofs in the tornado.
